Happy Monday everyone! I hope you had a wonderful weekend.
And that it was full of silliness.
And good times with good friends.
Josh and I went to a graduation party to celebrate Andrea getting her Bachelors. I’m so excited for all the amazing things she has coming her way! She’s heading off to grad school down south this fall.
It was the perfect weather for a patio party.
Being up on the mountain so reminded me of being back in the Poconos. I was having lots of flashbacks to my high school graduation. 2008 feels like a lifetime ago.
Josh had fun feeding the fish.
They got seriously competitive for the food!
Josh and I had a fun date night this weekend.
We saw Iron Man 3. It was amazing and made me so excited for Avengers 2. I was a little bummed to see the price increase in tickets though. Tickets have gone up by nearly a dollar since we last went to the movies in State College.
We also tried out an RPM class at the new gym, Fitology, in town. They were offering free passes for first time visitors. Josh, Lily, Pierce, and I ended up going.
I was so proud of Josh for trying out a new class. My only previous experience with cycling was Soul Cycle, which I absolutely loved. This was not as exciting or fun for me but was still an awesome workout. I left drenched in sweat.
I swung by GNC and picked up a Quest bar this weekend which we polished off after our workout. I was hearing all these amazing things about the cookie dough bars and these absolutely lived up to the hype. I’m so excited to buy another one and try heating it in the microwave.
I got one of my favorite salads from Trader Joes. The arugula was so fresh and tasty.
It’s half price frap time at Starbucks! I plan on getting at least one more of these before the promotion ends this week.
Josh and I accidentally ran into a prom when going to pick up dinner from the Penn Stater. A girl had on a neon green/lime yellow prom dress. I get that neon is a huge trend right now (and I love it in workout clothes) but I was just imaging the girl looking back on photos years from now and wondering what she was thinking.
Daniel defended his Masters this weekend which warranted a Thai food celebration. This tofu pad thai was delicious.
We celebrated Cinco de Mayo weekend with drinks at Zolas. (Flat Stan got in on the fun!)
And ended the celebration with Insomnia cookies. I learned that Insomnia cookies will begin to disintegrate if microwaved for 30 seconds and that a partially disintegrated cookie is not tasty. 15 seconds is the magic number. Thankfully we had more than one chocolate chip cookie!
And that was our weekend! Like always, it flew by way too fast.
Question of the Day: How did you celebrate Cinco de Mayo?
Jan @ Sprouts n Squats says
That salad from Trader Joes looked yum. I’ve heard that Iron Man 3 is good.
My boyfriends friend is Greek so instead of cinco de mayo we celebrated Greek Easter with him and his family and our friends. It included lamb on the spit and lots and lots of food!
Erin says
Oh how fun! I’ve never celebrated Greek Easter before. That must have been so cool to get to share in one of his traditions.
Danielle @ itsaharleyyylife says
man our weekend was a lot of the same: Quest Bars, half off frapps and Iron Man 3… all which were marvelous!

They both sound like wonderful weekends to me! 😀

We celebrated Greek Easter, so our weekend was pretty much filled with family and food ha! I don’t think anyone looks back and likes their prom dress, do they? Mine was traditional and I still was like whoa.
I need to try those Quest bars too!
