Hey guys! Happy Monday! I hope your weekend was wonderful. Mine was fabulous. If you follow me on Twitter or Instagram I’ve been sharing some pictures from my weekend adventures in NYC. I’ll be back with a recap of it all tomorrow. Today I’m participating in a fun link-up with Pavement Runner for a feature called What’s In Your Fitness Closet. He invited anyone in the blogging community to get out a camera, pull out your workout clothes, and share them with the world.
I’ve always loved blog posts about what people carry in their purses or have in their bathrooms, so I’m super excited to see what people work out in. I’m nosy, what can I say? Taking out all my workout clothes makes me realize I’ve built up a nice size workout collection in the few years I’ve been actively working out! I took these photos before I left for the weekend and didn’t have a ton of time so these photos are workout clothes only. If you guys are interested in seeing my workout accessories like shoes and headbands and stuff I can definitely share those. Just let me know! 🙂
Of course I have to start off with Lululemon. I would own the entire store if I could. These are my workout tops from there.
These are my Lululemon pants. My favorites are the cotton Wunder Unders Crops. I wish they still made them. They’re so soft and really move with you. My second favorites are the Ruffle Groove Pants. I just love that they have so many ruffles around the top! haha They make me feel cute when I’m doing Pilates.
I have this Lululemon Scuba, although I use it less for working out and more just for a hoodie.
I also have this Lululemon Stride jacket. It’s currently off at the Lululemon hospital getting a zipper repair.
These are my awesome Road Runner Sports workout clothes that I wore to my first ever 5k race at the Runner’s World Event.
These are my Free Motion workout clothes that I got at the Runner’s World expo. I’m in love with the jacket.
These are the first workout clothes I ever bought. They’re Champion and I got them from Target when I was heading off to college in 2008. Isn’t that sad that’s the first time I ever bought workout clothes? I think I’ve definitely made up for it since.
These are my random workout clothes. A pair of Nike crops, my Swiftwick performance tee, an Electric Yoga tank that I love, and a Champion bra I just won on a blog contest. It is such a great bra that looks cute and is made really well, but it is for heavy duty coverage. I’m not sure how much use it will be getting since I’m not exactly spilling over in that area. ;p
Question of the Day: What’s in YOUR fitness closet? I’d love to hear about some of your favorite items!
I decided that I should just get a job at Lulu. That would help with the issue of wanting to own everything in the store! You have such cute stuff!
I would love to work at Lulu! If only they hired marketers outside of Canada!
I think every woman can agree that lulu is one of the best workout gear shops. If not they probably haven’t tried it yet. Their pants are butt changing!!! 😉
They are butt enhancing! haha
I agree with Angela – Lulu pants make everyone look good! I feel a need to go shopping soon 😉
Lulu shopping is fun but so dangerous! haha
You have the cutest workout clothes!
Aw thank you! I’m super happy with my workout collection. 😀
can’t ever have too much lulu!!!!
So true!! haha
I love looking into peoples closets! what a great idea!
Me too! I’ve so enjoyed reading everyone’s posts!
You got some cute clothes 😉
Aw thank you!
Such cute stuff!! I am also nosy & like seeing what other people have! lol
Aw thanks! It has been fun taking a peek inside everyone’s closets!
Love lululemon jackets! That’s one of my faves to run in!
I love Lululemon everything! haha
Wowza! Love that orange and grey lulu hoodie!
Aw thanks! It’s really comfy!
Love the gear! So cute!
Thanks so much!
Yoga pants are a MUST for me!! Both for working out and for lounging around ;).
I love lounging around in yoga pants. I’m doing that right now actually! haha
You have a seriously sweet collection! So jealous of all the lulu! 🙂 Love those ruffle pants, I’ve never seen those.
Aw thank you! I’m a huge fan of the ruffles too. I love little feminine details like that.
Erin,
I have to ask what your best 5k time is and how much you’ve improved from the beginning with your first race?
Great to meet you on here.
Cheryl
The first time I ever ran a 5k it took me like 45 minutes. My fastest was 30. I’m still not fast but I love seeing improvement like that. These times are also before I started taking an inhaler when I run for my runner’s induced asthma. I’m curious to see how that will affect me!
I’m coming to the conclusion that my closet needs more color… more PIZAZZ. Great line up.
Aw thank you! You could totally rock some color!
Cute stuff and great colors! I have a million purple tops for some reason lol!
Aw thank you! I need to get more purple in my collection!
I need to get some more practical clothes for working out, most of mine are just old clothes that become work out gear!
Do it! Although beware, it becomes an addiction! ;p
I have a love-hate relationship with Lulu – I love it but my wallet hates it… I never can walk out empty handed!
So true! haha Their stuff is addicting!
You have really cute workout clothes…kind of inspiring me to get some.
I just wear Lululemon’s or regular leggings most of the time, with old cotton t-shirts I have from random events, or that I’ve stolen from the “donate” bin at work, since we make t-shirts like that!
I love big t-shirts to lounge around in. For working out though I’ve found tighter fitting clothing (and water wicking fabric) works so much better for me!
Love your scuba hoodie, I wish I had bought mine before 2012. I wear mine a lot, but I wouldn’t mind it being just a little longer. I have an Electric Yoga tank too! I really like it, got it from PVBody, it’s too bad they didn’t stick to their original model. It’s been fun to check out what’s in everyone’s closet, I’m nosy too!
I wish PVBody would have stuck to their original model too! That’s where I got my Electric Yoga tank from. I love it!
First your probably have the most colorful collection I’ve seen so far! Second, I have to give you love for having your 2008 clothes from Target. I too have some C9 stuff and Kohl’s brands form 2007/2008 and it was my first time buying things too. They have held up over the years though! You’re right though, over time you upgrade to other products. Don’t think I’d run an ultra in any of those pieces. haha
Aw thanks! I love bright colors! And I have to say, while the Target stuff is not as great of quality as my Lulu, it’s a lot better than a lot of other brands I’ve paid a lot more money for!
I love your lulu collection, I desperately want one of their jackets, and those ruffle pants – so cute!
I love ruffles! And I definitely want another Lulu jacket too! There’s so many cute ones!
haha! I don’t feel as badly about my lulu collection anymore! I love your collection of clothes. Lots of fun bright colors!
I’m a bit Lulu obsessed! haha Thanks so much, I love all the bright colors too!
I too am nosey, so these posts are awesome to me! I love your collection. I was surprised at all I had when I did my pics too. I love Running Skirts!
Aw thank you! I know, I didn’t realize quite how much stuff I have, although it’s pretty small in comparison to some of the other bloggers. I love Running Skirts too, I feel bad I took a picture of the stuff I have from them but I think my camera ate it!
Right now my workout clothes consist of tons of LuLulemon, Lorna Jane Active + Forever 21 tops! Believe it or not I love my forever 21 stuff you just can’t dry it in the dryer thats the trick! Otherwise, my credit card + lululemon do not have a solid relationship 😉 Great post I love seeing all your wonderful colors of tops! Thank you for sharing! Love + Shine CourtStar
I really want to try Lorna Jane! And I’ve heard good things about Forever 21 workout stuff. I’ve just never had any luck finding anything in that store. Things don’t fit me right for some reason.
Gotta love Lulu – I’m working on my collection!
It’s a fun collection to work on!
Love all the bright colors!
Thanks girly!
