Happy Monday ladies! How was your weekend? I was pretty quiet on here last week because I was so exhausted it has been hard to function. I’m looking to get a sleep study done to hopefully get some answers. In the meantime, I spent this weekend getting lots of rest with some fun activities thrown in, too. Don’t forget to link up to your weekend snapshots at the bottom of this post!
Omaha got an exciting new addition this week: The Container Store! They invited a ton of Omaha bloggers to a lunch and learn before the grand opening. I love when we can all get together!
I’m a huge fan of The Container Store and am so happy to have one close by. The Virgo in me craves organization. Nothing makes me feel more in control or confident than when I am organized.
We were able to tour the store and I absolutely fell in love with their closet systems. I need this organization in my life!
The event concluded with cupcakes and wishing Greg a very happy birthday! I learned a lot about The Container Store and love them even more than I did before. They pay their employees 1500% over the industry average and donated 10% of all opening weekend sales to the Omaha Children’s Museum. They’re a pretty fantastic company that I’m proud to support.
That night I headed out with friends to Pure, a wine and food fundraising event for Boys Town. They had a wine grab that was so much fun. You pay $20 and get to chose a brown bag filled with a bottle of wine ranging in price from $10-$150. It was such a neat idea that I want to file away for future events.
After saying goodbye to Erin and Kelsey at the event Joanna and I headed back to The Container Store for their grand opening event. It was a busy night!
I love how they used their containers to make the displays for food. There were drinks, dancing, a live band, and so many food stations. It was a good time.
Saturday night I made some of my childhood dreams come true when I went to the Omaha Children’s Museum for their Harry Potter A Haunting at Hogwarts event. It was an adults only costume event featuring food, a live band, and so many fun Harry Potter activities. Before the event we were sorted into houses and I was Ravenclaw. As much as I always wanted to be in Gryffindor growing up, I’m realistically a mix between Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff.
I could not get enough of the candles hanging from the ceiling.
The band who played at the event are from England and all were extras in the Harry Potter films!
The decor was so cute and really helped set the mood. I even got to try Butterbeer! (Spoiler alert: not a fan.)
We got to see owls up close and personal and I learned I might have a slight fear of them. Being so close to such big, powerful creatures spooked me a bit.
Especially this one. It stared into my soul.
Owl phobia aside it was such a fun event and such a good time with friends! I already can’t wait for next year!
Sunday was spent on the couch with this cuddle bug, binge-watching episodes of Younger and House of DVF.
Questions of the Day: What was the highlight of your weekend? Are you a fan of organization? What Hogwarts house do you think you’d be in?

The Harry Potter party looks like so much fun!! Per Pottermore, I am in Ravenclaw- because I’m an adult, yet still check out all things HP on a regular basis 🙂

Owls up close are more scary than I would’ve expected, haha. I love listening to them when I run in the early mornings, though! Mmmm #allthefood

The Container Store lunch that you went to looks amazing!!! This is my first time linking up with Weekend Snapshots and I actually just posted on my blog (Trendy &Tidy) last week, about how I organize my makeup using The Container Store’s Luxe Acrylic Modular System so I was so excited to see your post about the meet-up you went to for them! Just thought I would share and also wanted to thank you for hosting 🙂

I essentially grew up in The Container Store. To this day, it is as dangerous for me as a whole foods or Target. I am not an organized person, not really, but I looooooooove TCS.
And then Harry Potter. Nerding out so hard
