Happy Monday! I hope you guys had a great weekend and that your work week is off to a good start.
Our weekend started off bright and early with a 5:45 am photo shoot with Kitty from Lady Grey Photography. We had so much fun and I’m so excited to share the photos with you soon. One word to the wise for future photo sessions: don’t schedule an early morning session with your photographer after a week of getting 4-5 hours of sleep a night. Helllllo under eye circles. I’m starting to institute a bedtime for myself on weekdays so I can get rid of those ASAP.
After our photo shoot we headed over to Jess‘s house for our weekly training session. I love getting to see her. This week’s workout kicked my butt. She’s upping the intensity for us and I love it. I just have to make sure to not talk when I’m working out, because while doing kettle bell swings I got distracted and wrenched my back the wrong way. It’s sore, but nothing some rest and a heating pad can’t fix. It is crazy how much harder the sixth round of reps is than the first.
Post-workout Josh and I headed to Whole Foods. We were stinky, sweaty messes ,but we were ravenous. I ate ALL the salad and loved every bite.
Whole Foods really steps up their sample game in the summer. I wanted to take this whole tray home with me.
We also made a Target run to stock up on essentials. Can anyone leave there without spending a fortune? I’m trying to work on getting into a skincare routine, so I decided to pick up some new products to try.
I also finally learned how to do a sock-bun! A quick and easy tutorial is coming your way this week!
We were supposed to do a taco tour on Saturday, but I was way too tired. So I took a four hour nap instead. It was glorious. And yet another sign that I am seriously under-rested.
Sunday, (after sleeping in til 9!) I headed to Molly’s to celebrate our beautiful friend Jamie’s baby shower. She’s having a baby girl and I am so excited for her! I hope one day when I’m pregnant I look half as good as her!
Check out these adorable cupcakes. I wish I had this kind of talent.
I had to leave the shower early to head over to Dario’s for brunch with Junior League. I’m in the new member class this year and I’m really looking forward to meeting new people and getting to help make a difference in Omaha. This was one of the best tasting brunches I’ve had in Omaha. I ate every bite.
This is horrible picture of us but it’s all I’ve got. It was great to get to spend time with these wonderful ladies.
The rest of my Sunday was spent working on blog stuff and having a coffee date with Hannah. Unfortunately after weeks of trying to come up with a new blog name for Girl Gone Veggie, I am still feeling uncertain. If you guys wouldn’t mind taking this quick survey on your thoughts on a couple of potential new blog names I’d really appreciate it. I want this name change to be permanent, and something that will grow with me. Thank you SO much for all your help!
Question of the Day: What was the highlight of your weekend?

Looks like a fun weekend! The other weekend I went to Target for sheets and bought a complete bedding set, new wall decor and throw pillows. Haha! Whoops!!

That store is dangerous! haha I’m sure your bed looks beautiful now though!

I rock it on the child—not so much on me.

I seriously need to start hitting up Whole Foods on Saturdays… though I have gotten to the point where I LOVE going on Friday evenings when it is WAY less busy and I can take my time and not feel rushed. Decisions, decisions!
Erin says
Any time is a good time for a Whole Foods visit. Free samples are my kryptonite though. ;p
Divya @ Eat. Teach. Blog. says
Loving the sock bun!!! 🙂 I haven’t been to Target in a few weeks because I was out of the country, but I imagine I will spend a fortune when I go back to buy supplies for the classroom. GAH! They get me every time!
Erin says
They make shopping there such an enjoyable experience. It’s so dangerous.
Betsy says
Love the sock bun! Makes me kind of sad that my hair is too short to do it! I took the survey too!

Did you end up going to Whole Foods? Their salad bar meals are some of my favorite!

My baby fine hair can’t be styled, but I love seeing what others can do! LOL on the next-to-last option on your survey!
Erin says
Only one person selected that option so I’m feeling pretty good about that! haha
