Weekend Snapshots

April 3, 2016 20 Comments

Happy Monday everyone! How was your weekend? Mine was filled with beautiful weather, fun with friends, a few date nights, and a whole lot of good food. Don’t forget to link up to your weekend snapshots at the bottom of this post!

The weekend started off with a trip to the ballgame with Josh. Creighton baseball season has started and I was so excited to finally get to see a game. I’ve been meaning to go to one for years! I decked out in all blue to show my support.

The weather was great. It was cool to see Creighton play in the stadium where the College World Series is held. While it looks empty in this picture there was actually a pretty big turnout in a stadium that can seat 24,000. It was a fun game, and Creighton won!

Josh and I celebrated Creighton’s win by heading over to Nite Owl and ordering totchos.

And veggie burgers. Totchos are less bad when paired with a salad right? 😉

Corkscrew Omaha Nebraska Wine Bar

We wanted to keep the party going so we walked over to Corkscrew Wine Bar for some drinks and dessert.

I’ve learned that as much as I want to I do not like chocolate cake. Bread pudding though, is a real winner.

The next morning I was up bright and early to meet with Heidi for a fun little photo shoot. We took photos down by the water (where I had a fun experience with my car almost getting broken into while I was changing inside of it) before ending up walking around downtown and getting coffee and pastries from BeanSmith. Life is always an adventure. More on these photos soon. 🙂

Jams Omaha Nebraska Brunch Her Heartland Soul

After photos I found my way to more food when I met up with Junior League friends Lauren and Liz at Jams. It was so great to see them and catch up over this delicious chilaquiles plate. The rest of my Sunday was spent cleaning, resting, spending time with Josh and getting ready for a new busy week!

At last! I’ve met someone else who doesn’t like chocolate cake! I’m much more of a vanilla girl though I’m a sucker for a fudgy brownie or peanut butter cup!

Baseball is a lot of fun to watch! Although I really like going to a game rather than watching it on TV. Looks like a great weekend. Have a great Monday!

Are totchos ‘tater tots in ‘nacho form?’ They sound really delicious! It looks like you had a tremendously blessed weekend.

Very cool. You got to see a game in a park, I want to go to. The home of the College World Series. Very cool.

It was so wonderful brunching and catching up with you yesterday 🙂 I think that and then napping in the sun afterwards were the highlights of my weekend. Such a perfect day!

The weather was great for baseball this weekend! That food looks delicious too! Someone tried breaking into your car while you were inside? That is so scary! Glad that they didn’t actually end up doing anything to you or your car though!

Yikes at your car being almost broken into! Glad they weren’t successful.

The highlight of my week was reading a few good books. I started on the Pokemon Adventure series and have read the first Big Hero 6 graphic novel out of the duo. Those totchos look amazing!
