Happy Monday! How was your Christmas? I hope you had a wonderful one. Mine was amazing. Don’t forget to link up your weekend snapshots post at the end of this post!
Christmas Eve Eve I met up with Joanna, Eleanor, Jess, Spencer, and Jada at Whole Foods. Jess is in town for the holidays and it was so great to get to see her again. Jada is as cute as ever.
I had a half day of work on Christmas Eve. I was surprised with this sweet gift on my desk in the morning. I thought it was so nice.
For lunch that day I treated myself to Chipotle. It was delicious.
I got an early Christmas present when I came home and saw my Day Designer was delivered. I’m excited for an organized 2015!
Christmas Eve Josh and I celebrated with our friend Molly’s family. They are so sweet to invite us over for holidays. It makes being far away from family a lot less hard this time of year. We had a great time and enjoyed delicious potatoes and eggplant.
After the party we came home, exchanged new sets of Christmas PJs, and then went to bed. I was so excited for Christmas!!
We woke up bright and early the next morning to open stockings.
I’m loving our crazy bedhead in these pictures.
After opening stockings we ate the most amazing caramel French toast Molly’s family made for us, watched A Muppets Christmas, Elf, and then opened presents. We both felt so grateful and loved the entire day. I loved all my presents but was really excited for Josh’s. I gave him (technically us) a trip to Mexico. I am so excited.
For dinner we went to Village Inn. It was one of the only places open for Christmas and we were craving diner comfort food. My turkey dinner hit the spot.
I had off work on Friday and Josh and I spent the long weekend being incredibly lazy. We cleaned the apartment, went grocery shopping to stock up our house on food, and watched lots of movies.
We also went to look at Christmas lights around town.
And ice skating for a fun date night.
Well, it was a fun date night until a few minutes after this picture when I fell straight on my tailbone while skating. It hurts to walk, to sit, and sleeping has become a very interesting process. I hope it heals up soon. 🙁
But in much happier news, I’ll be sharing the first recap of my Carmel trip tomorrow. Make sure to stop by and check it out!
Questions of the Day: What was the highlight your Christmas? Did you get a favorite present?
sorry about your tailbone – i fell on mine in high school – it HURTS!!! looks like a lovely christmas! xo
Thanks Linz! It was a lovely Christmas! Now if only my tailbone will heal up so I can walk normally again! haha
Merry Christmas! Where are you headed in Mexico? I’m in the midst of planning a vacation there myself! All this cold winter weather has me craving a trip to the beach!
We’re going to Puerto Vallarta. I can’t wait! Where are you going?
Looks like you guys had a great Christmas! I am looking forward to a few days of relaxing after a hectic week of traveling for the holidays!

Thanks Rebecca! Happy New Year to you too!
So sorry about your tail bone. That can be very painful. Hope you heal quickly!
Thanks Lauren! They think it’s broken. 🙁 I’m now the owner of my very own butt pillow. haha
Mexico? Ah aren’t you just the sweetest s/o. He’s one lucky guy. Oh & can I just tell you that his card to you “my darling love” melted my heart. What a man!
Aww thanks Jessie! <3 He is the best!
Looks like you had an awesome Christmas! I need to buy myself a planner ASAP. Also, I love your stockings and letters! Where are they from? (We STILL don’t have nice family stockings yet…5 years of married Christmases later :P)
Ours are from Target last year! We were looking for really nice ones and fell in love. We checked this year and didn’t see the same ones again, although they had a sort of similar variety that I didn’t like as much. Hopefully they bring them back again next year!
Ouch, sorry about your tail bone!
I love Christmas time–looks like you had a lovely one!
It was such a great Christmas! I wish it didn’t fly by so fast!
It sounds like y’all had a super fun weekend! Also…. I wanna go to Mexico! I’m super jealous 😉
I’m so excited! I can’t wait until March!
Yikes, I have fallen on my tailbone before and it is not easy to recover from! A donut cushion might become your best friend. Besides that, it looks like you had a great weekend. Happy Monday! xo
I went to the doctor yesterday and they prescribed be a donut. haha It saved me from having to pay sales tax. ;p
Ouch! I broke my tailbone once and it was pretty painful. Heating pad on my backside always seemed to help!
I’m going to try that when I get home tonight! They think mine’s broken. 🙁
Looks like you had an awesome Christmas. I <3 your stockings! I slipped down some wet concrete stairs when I was 7 months pregnant and had a bruised tailbone as a result. Yeowch! Hope you heal up soon!
Oh man! I can’t imagine having that happen pregnant. That must have been so scary! I’m glad you were okay.
They think mine’s broken. 🙁 Womp womp.
