TGIF! I can’t believe how fast this week has flown. Here’s hoping this weekend takes a little while so I have some time to relax/ get all my work done for the end of the semester. It’s been a little while since I’ve done a Veggie Reviewed. If this is the first one you’re checking out welcome to the party! The gist of it is that as a blogger I receive free products from companies. They send me these products hoping that I’ll try them out and like them. If I like them they hope I will let you know about them. This week is an extra special week because not only did I find some awesome products to share with you guys, but every single company offered to do a giveaway or generous coupon for you guys! There’s lots of free stuff for you to win below. This is my first time using Rafflecopter for entries so please let me know if anything goes wrong! Good luck!
My first review is Mara’s Pasta. Mara’s Pasta came about when a little girl named Mara would only request pasta for meals. Her parents grew worried that she wasn’t getting enough nutrients from the carb heavy meals so they set out to create a pasta with a nutritional punch.
I think they managed to do just that! The real kicker is that Mara didn’t like the taste of whole wheat pasta, so her parents had to make sure the pasta tasted like white pasta. While I personally love the taste of both I know some people are not a fan of the whole wheat pasta taste. If that sounds like you this is definitely something you want to check out.
I decided to test out the pasta by making a lunch dish. I was midway through cooking when I realized I couldn’t find our juicer. Not to be discouraged from a heaping bowl of carbs, I substituted this potato ricer for a juicer. I’m kind of in love with it. It was so easy to use and simple. In my opinion it’s way better than the little plastic twist juicer we have.
I ended up making Eat Live Run’s Penne with White Beans and Spinach recipe. It made enough to feed an army.
The noodles were so tasty, definitely some of the best I’ve ever had. I enjoyed a delicious bowl of goodness in the sunshine on one of the first nice days of the year. I think that’s a good sign for things to come. 🙂 If you’d like to win your own box of pastas simply enter below.
I’ve been on a huge tea kick lately. There’s something so comforting and calming about a nice warm cup of tea on a cold day. Good Earth recently released new, bold tea flavors that are meant to get you up and get moving. Aside from making delicious new tea flavors the people behind Good Earth also had fitness instructor Bizzi Gold create Buti Workouts. These workouts are meant to reflect the flavors and complexities of the tea. They can be found for free on Youtube here.
I am so excited about what the company is doing. Not only are they creating delicious teas, and creating free exercise routines, they’re also creating teas so packed with natural flavor that you never need to add sugar.
At first I was so confused how you could have tea with no sugar. And then I tried the tea and realized how important natural flavors are to the taste. I’ve tried a lot of expensive tea and this is by far the best tea I’ve ever had. This is hands down one of my favorite giveaways ever. This tea is going to blow your mind. I grew up loving soda. Unfortunately as I got older I realized that while soda tastes great the ingredients aren’t the best for me. I still have regular soda from time to time but not very often and I always avoid diet. I love Zevia drinks because they are naturally flavored, have zero calories, and contain zero artificial sweeteners. They’re also super tasty and sold right in my Wegmans which is extra convenient.
So far I haven’t met a can I haven’t liked. My all time favorite would have to be the ginger root beer. These are definitely sodas I plan on getting more of to have in the house if the soda urge ever strikes. I’m so glad I followed the tip of keeping the cans chilled so that they’d be nice and cold when I wanted them. Zevia was so nice to offer five of you a free 6-pack of soda. To enter just fill out below.
Something I’ve been hearing about all over the blog world lately is Lock Laces. What they are is a lace for your shoes that you will never need to tie again. This is perfect for virtually any kind of sport, although most importantly to me is running. I hate having to re-tie a shoelace mid-run. It gets me out of the zone. When a package of pink shoe laces showed up at my door I was very excited.
I love the concept of the laces but was nervous they’d be hard to use in person. They really could have not been more simple. Simply lace the shoe, pulling as tight as you comfortably can, before inserting each of the laces into a funny little contraption. Once the laces are threaded you simply snip off the ends of the laces before clipping the end holder in place. You want to leave about two to three inches of extra lace room in case you ever need to make them tighter. To get out of the shoes you simply loosen the funny original contraption and take them off. You’ll never have to tie again!
Running and moving in these are a breeze. They really do keep your feet snug and secure while looking cute while doing so! I received an extra pair of laces that I would love to give to a lucky reader. Before you enter the laces contest just make sure you’re okay receiving hot pink laces. Sorry guys. ;p a Rafflecopter giveaway
My final review of the night is the Kona Kase. The Kona Kase is made for athletic people who want all the latest snacks and goodies.
My box came chock full of stuff! I haven’t tried one thing I haven’t liked yet and I’m having a blast trying new things. My favorite item absolutely has to be the TCHO chocolate. I’m kind of addicted. ;p For some extra info on Kona Kases they’re a monthly box subscription that is $15 and comes with free shipping. You can cancel at anytime and they do offer discounts if you place orders for multiple months. If that is a little more than you’re looking to invest sight unseen though then have I got a deal for you. Simply enter the code esmith at checkout and you’ll receive your first box for 50% off!
And those are my Veggie Reviews. I hope you enjoyed them! As stated before, I received all items for free. My opinions are always still my own.

WHOAH so many giveaways! For the Lock Laces — which oh MAN could I use! — I like al lthe colors but would probably have to go with …. pink? grey? yellow?? I’ve got to say yellow, because they’d go with most of my sneakers so I could rotate them. not that’d I’d actually rotate them. Maybe grey. Or in sum, I’d have to actually just buy mself a few laces so each shoe has one.
YELLOW.
Oh man I wrote this at 2:30 am yesterday so it’s really funny to read over it now. I’m not sure why I asked what color laces when they’re going to be pink! I’m going to see if I can change that. ;P

Very cool stuff! I’m most excited about the pasta, I feel that this would be a great choice for my picky little kids. We eliminated soda over a year ago, I miss the taste but get physically ill when I try to drink “real” soda after cutting it out. I’ve seen Zevia before but never purchased it, I’ll have to give it a try!
My favorite type of pasta is rotini.
I like all kinds of teas, lemon, anything berry, chai… it’s too hard to pick a favorite!

Hey Erin! My favorite kind of pasta is really just anything whole grain. I will say though, that shells are probably my favorite shape 🙂
I would love the lock laces because I run almost every day with 2 (sometimes 3) dogs. I would love these because I would never have to retie my sneakers while simultaneously trying to hold onto 3 dogs that are trying to keep running! Would make my life a bit easier, haha.

I love making a sort of caprese lasagna!
My favorite “type” of pasta will always be gnocchi, but I always enjoy trying new brands of pastas!
As for soda, I honestly enjoy it all, which is why I know Zevia would be a much better alternative to the diet I drink now.

I’m boring – my favorite type of tea is English Breakfast. But I also like vanilla chai, plus peppermint (not together).
I love whole wheat pasta. I don’t have a certain brand I love however. It took awhile to get used to I have to admit because I was trying to cook it like regular pasta and it would just be too hard but I learned to cook it a bit longer and it turned out just like regular! Plus once you doctor it up with all the veggies you don’t even notice!
As far as zevia, I love the gingerale. I’m not too picky!
To answer your question of the day: I’m loving my Pro Compression socks & sleeves!
And to answer the giveaway question: I love chai tea!
