Veggie Reviewed 3

November 29, 2012 32 Comments

Hey everyone! I hope you’re having a great week! Mine has been a little crazy with the end of the semester looming but the end is in sight! I am SO excited for winter break. I’m going to be spending it with Josh and his family and it can’t come soon enough. Today I have another Veggie Reviewed for you guys! I hope you like it, I’ve been enjoying some really awesome new products lately!

I received these Hummuz Crispz from Mediterranean Snacks to try and I was so excited. I sampled some of their lentil chips when I was at the Runners World event and absolutely loved them. The nutritional information is also pretty good. They’re baked instead of fried, are 120 calories for 14 crispz, have 5g of protein per serving andΒ  only 2g of sugar.

But now for what really matters, the taste. I think these are a great little lightly flavored chip that you can put all sorts of things on and enjoy. I like how the chip won’t overpower the topping. My favorite way to eat them is dipped in hummus. Cheese would also be great too.

And BONUS! Mediterranean Snacks was so sweet to offer a giveaway to one lucky reader to win a three pack of Hummuz Crispz! To enter to win just leave a comment telling me what flavor you would most like to try out of the three. The contest is open until Sunday at 11:59 pm EST. The winner will be announced on Monday’s post.

Okay how cute are these OXO measuring beakers? They’re brightly colored, stackable and each beaker measures a certain amount (2 ounces, 1 ounce, tablespoons and teaspoons). When I got them in the mail I was so excited. What a great way to get to measure little amounts when cooking and baking. The ounces are also perfect for making mixed drinks!

I love these. And as much as I love them, I know Josh will love them even more. He’s big on kitchen gadgets and he loves science so these are perfect for him. I can’t wait to use them when we cook!

Let me first say, I have problematic hair. It gets knotty, tangled, frizzy, doesn’t hold most hairstyles, and is super thin. For these reasons regular hair ties really don’t work for me. They knot my hair and get it tangled way too easily. I have loved this style of hair bands for a long time because they are much kinder to my hair and was so excited when one of my blogging friends, Karen, started a company called Active Accessories. Her hair bands are so stinken cute, way cuter than any of the previous hair bands I’ve used. I love how shiny they are and how great the colors look together. They also hold my hair firmly in place without causing knots. Yay!

Another great thing about hair bands that pony tails can’t do: look cute on your arm when you’re not wearing them! If pink isn’t your thing Active Accessories has a whole assortment of color combos. I definitely recommend checking them out.

My last review is Chris Mann’s new CD Roads. He was a contestant on The Voice, a show that Josh and I both love. I remember Chris competing on Christina Aguilera’s team and he had such a big, opera-esque voice. I wasn’t sure how he was going to fit into the pop world with his voice but this CD is filled with cover songs from popular artists and it is so amazing. Some of my favorite of his covers are Need You Now, The Blower’s Daughter, and My Way. I loved this CD and will definitely be listening to it again.

Question of the Day: What’s a product you’re loving lately?

**The winner of my Chobani giveaway is Divya from Eat. Teach. Blog. Congrats girl! Please email me at [email protected] with your address so I can pass it on to Chobani and they can get your case of Cho on its way to you!

I am obsessed with……… Oh man, I could write a super long list of the food products I am obsessed with. Love Libby’s Pumpkin, Nori Sheets, Spaghatti Squash, Salmon and I LOVE Trader Joe’s Arctic Char & Sable Fish! πŸ™‚ Those fish are delicious NOT just cause they’re fatty and flavorful, but because they’re SO INEXPENSIVE at TJs! πŸ™‚

I love those chips. I have tried the red pepper and they go great with guacamole. And I’m a baker too (not scientist, though) and OXO makes great products. Enjoy your family time.
