This floral shift dress strikes the perfect balance between summer and fall. In the summer it looks great with a pair of pair of strappy heels and statement earrings. In the fall, this dress is made to be paired with a pair of chunky booties and a denim jacket.
2. Chambray Shirtdress
Who doesn’t love a chambray shirtdress? In the summer, less is more. Pair it with a pair of statement flip flops and a poppy lipgloss. For fall, rock this dress with a killer pair of riding boots and a chunky cardigan.

I love a waffle knit. In the summer you can cuff the sleeves on this waffle knit dress to your elbows and add a pair of open-toed booties. For fall, keep the booties and add a cute moto jacket.

My favorite is the chambray shirt dress. My daughter has something similar and she pairs it with leggings underneath in colder weather.
I have a sunflower dress that I’m sure could transition to fall. I’m thinking of wearing it with a long cardigan like you suggested.

With Summer coming to an end, I was just thinking about what outfits are good for both Summer and Fall haha thank you for sharing.
The chambray is my pick. Love the knee length and it would pair with boots very well, too. In my closet, it seems like most dresses are clearly summer or winter, but I think a good shirtwaist is a possible layering garment that could take a tank or tee underneath for warmth on chilly days.
