You always want what you don’t have, right? Growing up I wanted thick, curly hair. The kind that you could do all the cool hairstyles with and that had a distinct look all on its own. Instead, I have fine, straight hair. The kind that can hold a curl for exactly ten minutes and that always looks the same no matter what you do.
As I’ve gotten older I’ve embraced my hair and its features. While it isn’t the coolest hair to have, it sure is easy. My hair air dries in under 15 minutes and looks as straight and shiny as if I had just blow dried and straightened it.
One area I’ve been struggling with is how to add a little volume to my hair. If I do nothing my hair will literally cling to my scalp. But I’ve tried some products that have done more harm than good. Mousses usually leave my hair oily, and aerosol sprays add a stickiness to my hair I do not like.
I wanted to find something to add noticeable lift to my hair with minimal effort. As you can probably guess by the picture, I did!
I picked up a bottle of Herbivore Sea Mist about a month ago to try out and have loved it so much I now use it every day. Once I get out of the shower I simply towel dry my hair, spritz my head with the coconut sea mist, let my hair air dry, brush my hair out, and get about my day.
The sea mist adds the perfect amount of natural-looking volume all over my head without making my hair sticky or oily. Ten seconds of effort makes my hair look better for the entire day. And the coconut smells so, so good!
If you too have limp, lifeless hair, I recommend giving this spray a try!
Questions of the Day: What’s your biggest hair struggle? Is your hair fine and thin too? If so, how do you add volume?
Ive been trying to add volume to my hair myself, im totally going to try this!
Girl, we have the same exact hair. My hairdresser just laughed at me for blow-drying my hair upside down (apparently it’s a juvenile thing to do) but it’s the only way to not have completely flattened hair. I’m def going to try this spray!
I love sprays for my hair and I would love this one!
Oh my heavens this spray might be my saving grace! My hair is super super fine, thin, and straight and lacks life to the nth degree! Whenever I add mouse it just gets oily too and hairspray makes it look like straw! I gotta try this product out!
Well, I guess I have hair that you would love. I can do practically anything to it and it stays. I have the curls and I can wear straight. Curly can be a curse because some products can weight it down or you can be frizzy.
Embracing what we have is great. Hope everyone finds something that works for them.
I am always looking for ways to add some volume to my hair! It can be such a struggle! Going to have to try this out! xo
Oh I gotta try this!! My hair never holds volume well!

I love Herbivore products, but haven’t tried this one yet!
Ooh, interesting. I really want to try this now!
Oh I want to try!! My biggest hair struggle is for sure it being dry and NOT growing!! 🙁
This sounds so good! I need to give this a try!
Definitely going to try this! I have such thin hair.
I need all of this!! My hair is dead haha!!
such great tips! x
I need to try this! Sounds like what my hair desperately needs!!
This sea mist sounds amazing! We love adding volume to our hair especially for summer.
I have the flattest hair, so I definitely need to give this a try. As I’ve gotten older, my hair is pretty straight at the top and has more texture toward the bottom; it sounds like this product would be an easy way to even that out!

I have never heard of this brand before I will have to check it out. I am like you and I hate anything sticky in my hair so it is good to know that this product leaves your hair soft.
I am always looking for volume!!! Definitely trying this!
I will definitely have to try that out! I love texture or sea salt sprays especially during the summer.
