You guys, I have been struggling lately. There has been too much to do and nowhere near enough time to do it all. It has led to me feeling incredibly overwhelmed and just exhausted beyond belief.
I love to be busy and always want to do all the things, but I’ve gotten to a point recently where I realized I cannot do it all. I have to be more aware of the value of time and the limited amount of it we all have. I’ve been working on saying no to more things, culling activities and projects from my life that I do not have time to dedicate myself to, and focusing more on what really matters to me: my family, my friends, my job, and this blog.
I want to be more present when I’m doing the things I really love or the things I need to do really well, and worry less about the things that really don’t matter. I’m working on setting realistic expectations for my time and working to save time on everyday tasks.
Time is a currency. To some that currency is money, to others it’s memories with loved ones. Everyone values different things, but the point is you need time to do the things you love. I can’t work less hours a week at my day job, but I can save time on everyday tasks that I don’t find joy in.
Like grocery shopping. Don’t get me wrong, I enjoy checking out new products, planning recipes, and trying all the samples. But when push comes to shove and I have to chose between quality time with Josh or grocery shopping? I’m going to chose Josh every time.
That’s why I was super excited to hear about Walmart Online Grocery. This new time-saving program makes it easy for you to order all your everyday staples and favorites from Walmart online. You virtually shop for your groceries, pick a date and time to pick it all up and it’s delivered right to your car outside the store. You get the same everyday low prices as you would if you were shopping in store with a cart instead of at home with a mouse. And you’re guaranteed the freshest in-store quality or your money back.
Josh and I tried out the service for ourselves on a busy weekend when we had a lot to do. The weather was so beautiful we didn’t want to spend a second of it indoors, so we placed our order online and then drove to Walmart to pick up our food for the week.
The store was well-labeled with where to go to pick up your online grocery order. I appreciated the sign on the stop sign and may or may not have started singing, “Stop. Pickup time.” to the M.C. Hammer tune. 😉
There are clearly marked parking stalls for where to pick up your groceries that are out of the hustle and bustle of the regular parking lot. Once we got there we were parked for maybe a minute before we were greeted with our bags.
Our groceries were loaded up into our trunk and we were ready to get back on with our day. You guys, we had to do nothing. It was absolutely glorious. And for this overwhelmed girl, one less thing to have to worry about, which I seriously appreciated.
If you’re looking to save time, check out Walmart Online Grocery for yourself. If this is grocery shopping in the future, I’m a fan!

Being able to pinpoint where our energy leaks happen is so important! There’s no one-size-fits-all, but the result is the same: more space for joy!

I’m with you there! I hate idle moments and am constantly trying to do everything, but I’m also trying reallyyyy hard to learn to be able to take a break sometimes. I haven’t used a grocery delivery service before but may look into it if the weather gets really bad this winter!

We needed supplements and I did not feel like making the trip in so I have them ordered from Walmart and on their way to my door.

Oddly enough I enjoy walking around the store looking at everything but this is a nifty idea. Saves you from having to deal with the ridiculously long lines because they only have less than a handful of cashiers. Evern though they have many checkout stations.
