I always wonder how my personality comes across to readers of my blog who have never met me. Hopefully I seem friendly and real. I always try to be honest about my life on here. I feel so blessed to have the life I do and absolutely love living it. But sometimes when life gets a little too busy and I feel like I’m juggling too much at once, I find myself getting overwhelmed and stressed.
Part of this is genetics: anxiety runs in my family and I’ve dealt with it for most of my life. Part of this is my environment: I choose to pack my schedule with tons of events and activities. Part of this is by choice: My time management skills are horrible and I am constantly running late to things.
While my stress levels are nowhere near where they were before I started taking an SSRI, I’ve been trying to find ways to deal with what I call “normal” levels of the stress of feeling overwhelmed and short on time.
Enter Rescue Pastilles. I picked these bad boys up at my local Whole Foods when I started feeling my anxiety levels creeping up as our trip to Mexico got closer and closer and my to-do list grew longer and longer. They’ve been a staple in my purse ever since.
This photo was snapped last Friday after I got home from work and was immediately running out the door to a Junior League event. Joanna’s Baby Sprinkle was the next day, Mexico was two days away, and I had done zero cleaning, packing, or blog post writing. I was pretty frantic.
What they are is a natural way to help you stress less, stay calm, and feel in control. They were developed by a doctor, are used by millions of people worldwide, and are non-habit forming, with no side effects.
Before I left for Mexico I found I was fighting sleep at night. I wanted to get just one more thing checked off of my to-do list each night. It resulted in a lack of sleep and me being a zombie the next day. I started taking a Rescue a few hours before bed and found I could turn my brain off at night. I was able to get to sleep and sleep soundly. It felt incredible.
When Clever Girls posted this opportunity to try out Rescue, I was curious because I deal with stress a lot and had seen the product at Whole Foods before. I figured it couldn’t hurt to relax a little bit. I had no idea this campaign would come at a time when I was really stressed and needed it most. Rescue worked for me, and they now have a new customer because of it! If you want to try Rescue and see if it works for you check out their BOGO coupon.
Questions of the Day: Do you consider yourself a stressed person? How do you deal with stress? Have you ever tried Rescue?

Very cool! I should pick up a tin of these next time I’m at the store- my to-do list is currently very, very long! Ha. 🙂

They really helped so much. I felt so overwhelmed before Mexico it was crazy. It’s amazing what a week in the sun can do! 😀

I have seen these at the supermarket, but I have never tried them. I think I will be needing these once we get closer to our wedding and the to-do list starts to grow.

I needed these so bad before vacation. Now that I’m back I feel like a different person!
