Punkin’s Mealtime Experience

One of the best parts of my day is coming home after work and opening the door to my apartment. There’s always a little nose waiting there as the door opens a crack, attached to a fluffy orange tabby that is very happy to see me. Punkin meows a greeting and then leads me to the carpet where he plops down for a belly rub. After lots of purrs and kisses he gets up and leads me to his food dish. There he likes for me to pet him as he eats. After a few minutes I get to putting away lunch dishes and unpacking my bags from work. I settle in on the couch to check my email and work on my blog. When Punkin finishes eating he joins me and cuddles up on the coffee table or at the end of my feet. When he’s ready for more attention he’ll walk over my keyboard and plop down on my lap.

Do I have a totally co-dependant cat? Yes.

Would I have it any other way? Absolutely not.

Punkin loves to be involved in our lives, like we love to be involved in his. Just like Josh and I gather to eat together, Punkin likes us to be involved in his mealtime experience. We like to feed him good quality food that he enjoys and gives him the nourishment he needs.
