Pump It Up With Pacha Soap

January 7, 2016 18 Comments

Last month I was invited to my local Whole Foods for a special brunch event.

It was a wonderful morning filled with mimosas, delicious pastries, and good conversation.

The best part of the morning was the reason we were there: to celebrate the success of Abi and Andrew. Dirty Hippies with a Clean Purpose, Abi and Andrew are the founders of Pacha Soap, a local Nebraska soap company that through hard work, dedication, and a truly amazing product are now available in all Whole Foods nationwide. It’s crazy to me that two hours from my apartment there’s a soap factory making and sending soaps all over the country!

Pacha Soap makes traditional bar soaps, bath scrubs, and, my favorite, liquid hand soap. We have a bottle of Lavender Lemongrass next to all of our sinks and I truly can’t get enough. It’s American-made, smells amazing, and leaves my hands feeling great after every wash.

One of the most special things about Pacha Soap is their heart. The company has a buy-one, give-one business model, dedicated to helping provide clean water, sanitation, and good hygiene to people in developing countries. As if giving a bar of soap away for every one they sell weren’t enough, they also promote entrepreneurship in developing countries by setting up soap manufacturing shops and paying the local area to make their own soaps. It is truly amazing to hear of a business going above and beyond and doing so much good in the world. In just the few short years they’ve been around they’ve made such a difference. Pacha Soap is a company I’m proud to support.

Whole Foods agrees, which is why they awarded Pacha Soap with a Local Producer Loan for $100,000. I can’t wait to see the big things the company does with this money!

We are getting a Whole Foods in a few weeks and I am so excited! I will definitely check out this soap. As much as I wash my hands, I really need a soap that will help my hands feel better.

I’ve never heard of Pacha soap and unfortunately, we don’t have a Whole Foods nearby. I love their business model, though, and am so happy that they are successful!

This is so awesome! I love handmade soaps. I have to hold myself back from purchasing them as gifts since I know not everyone loves them like me. haha. I have always had an interest in natural living, but the past couple of years I’ve been working to integrate more and more naturally made products into our home and body cleaning products.
