Today was my day of rest before my last two finals tomorrow. I got to sleep in and start the day with a leisurely breakfast burrito and get a lot of things checked off my to-do list.
I mailed out prizes to recent contest winners. I love having an excuse to send mail! How adorable is the Barbie stationary? I also love how the Very Cherre coupons look like the bottle of Very Cherre! So ingenious.
I wrapped all of Josh’s Hanukkah presents as well as his parent’s presents. This was the before.
And here’s the after! I seriously need to take a gift wrapping class. Girl got no skills.
While I wrapped and rocked out to NSYNC’s Christmas album I snacked on a bowl of greek yogurt with frozen raspberries, bananas, and walnuts. The raspberries were so sweet I didn’t even need honey, and the coldness made it taste like I was eating froyo.
After finishing up wrapping I met up with Grace for Starbucks and girl talk. She’s leaving to go home for Christmas break tomorrow so it was fun catching up and hanging out! I miss our Starbucks dates when she’s not here! 🙁
After leaving Starbucks I realized it was freaking freezing out! (30 degrees!) I was right next to Panera so I decided to stop by and pick up one of my favorite soups in the world. Their broccoli and cheddar soup is amazing. It was the perfect dinner to warm me up after being out in the chilly air. I need to find their recipe so I can replicate it at home.
So while I was really productive in some ways, there are still some things I haven’t gotten to on my to-do list yet:
1. Study for my finals tomorrow. (!!!! I feel like I should be freaking out about this way more than I am.)
2. Pack for Josh’s.
3. Write out holiday cards.
I think its time I get to work on those! Because I have a final from 11-2 and then 2-5 tomorrow and then I’m immediately heading for Josh’s I don’t think I’ll be able to blog tomorrow before I go MIA for the weekend. I might surprise you but if you don’t see a post tomorrow its because of how busy my day is going to be. I will definitely have a post for you on Monday though! And its gonna be AWESOME! Let’s just say Josh and I are putting together a little party that features one big giveaway for a very lucky reader! Make sure to stop back Monday to find out what the giveaway is!
Question of the Day: What are your exciting plans for the weekend?

Jealous you are done with school!
I just tried Greek Yogurt this week. I hate regular yogurt, but decided to try it on a whim. Soooo yummy. I love that it doesn’t get all watery like regular yogurt. Your’s looks so pretty in the bowl!
Not sure if you are super strict vegetarian, but I am almost positive that soup isn’t vegetarian 🙁

It feels so good to be done with school! Does yours get out next week?
So glad you tried Greek yogurt! Its so good, and so good for you!
Yeah panera broccoli cheddar is made with chicken stock making it not technically vegetarian. I wrote about my dilemma with foods like that on my blog a month or so ago and came to the decision that if when a situation involving gelatin/animal stocks arises as long as theres no actual animal on my plate im okay eating it. This doesnt mean ill go out of my way to eat them or cook with animal stocks in my house but if its something I enjoy from a restaurant I still let myself enjoy it. I know it doesn’t work for everyone, but it works for me!

I finished my last final today – it was scheduled 3:45-6:15?!!? On a Saturday. I feel like a waste of a whole day.
I must have missed that blog when you first posted it. I will go look for it. When I went vegetarian, for a while I didn’t care so much about gelatin, animal stocks, etc. But now, I do. I am not really sure what changed for me, but something did. By no means will I spit something out if I find out it has gelatin in it, but if there is an alternative choice, I will go with that. (funny story, that is actually why I tried the greek yogurt – a lot of regular yogurt has gelatin in it, and I was just browsing to see what didn’t – and now I am eating some right now!) I don’t really like broccoli and cheese soup, so I lucked out with that 🙂 My job makes a french onion soup with a veggie base, so I get my fix with that! I actually just found out last week at a meeting that gelatin is in some butter alternatives – who would have thought? If that is my choice I will eat it, but I probably won’t buy it for myself. I think sometimes it is hard to be super vegetarian because there is stuff hidden in so many things. I won’t freak out if something passes my lips that has gelatin/stock/etc in it, but I won’t probably eat it purposely again.
Sorry I kinda rambled, but ha I am done with school and now I have free time!

Thanks for the link – I looked for it the other day, but couldn’t find it.
You guys have to come down south sometime! I work at Jason’s Deli, the furthest north is in MD. I love having french onion soup so close to me!
