An Easy Breakfast Hack

January 28, 2016 22 Comments

Something to know about me: I’m a creature of habit. I find patterns, routines, and habits way more comforting than boring. That said, I know variety is the spice of life. Whenever I feel like it’s been too long since I’ve tried something new, I jolt myself out of my comfort zone by going on a new adventure, switching up my schedule, striking up a conversation with a stranger, or ordering a new dish at a restaurant. While it can be awkward for me, it’s almost always worth it.Plenti Oatmeal Meets Greek Her Heartland Soul

When it comes to yogurt, I definitely have my habits. I love yogurt and have been a die hard Stonyfield fan for years. Because of how much I love the company, the products, and the culture, I almost said no when Yoplait asked if I wanted to try their new Plenti Oatmeal Meets Greek Yogurt. But here’s the thing, I have loved mixing Greek yogurt and oatmeal together since I first became a fan of Greek yogurt in college. And there is not another product like this out on the market. I didn’t want to let my routine keep me from trying something new, so I went wild in a way only a 25-year-old with the heart of an 80-year-old can and decided to try a new yogurt.Plenti Oatmeal Meets Greek Her Heartland Soul

If you’re wondering what’s different about Plenti Oatmeal Meets Greek Yogurt, let me fill you in. There are other oatmeal Greek yogurt products on the market, but they’re mixed with seeds and other ingredients to make it more of a breakfast parfait. What attracted me to this one is that it’s essentially a breakfast hack of a dish I made almost every morning while Josh and I were dating in college.

My traditional oatmeal Greek yogurt recipe:

Microwave oats + mix in Greek yogurt + let cool in fridge + enjoy!

With Plenti Oatmeal Meets Greek Yogurt, I just grab a container out of the fridge, open it up, and enjoy a quick and portable breakfast. The container is study like a bowl so you can enjoy it on the couch, at your kitchen table, or on the go without worry.

I realize mixing oats and Greek yogurt is not rocket science, but I was amazed at how this tasted exactly like my original college creation that I love so much. The oats weren’t crunchy, but fully cooked and thickened up the yogurt, making for a very creamy and filling breakfast. Both Josh and I were big fans!

If you’re looking for a quick and delicious breakfast hack, I highly recommend Plenti Oatmeal Meets Greek Yogurt. They come in a variety of flavors and are really tasty. While I’m definitely not abandoning my traditional yogurt loves, I’m excited that I tried something outside of my comfort zone because I now have a new product to add to my meal and snack rotation.

I could not survive without a routine. I was at the grocery store yesterday and saw these. I *almost* bought one to try but I ended up buying my usual yogurt instead…… I should have bought it. They look delicious. Next time for sure.

Oats are very healthy, they contain a lot of fiber so you’ll stay feeling full longer
