Omaha’s Big Bad Voodoo Daddy Performance

October 11, 2013 3 Comments

It’s Friday! How the heck did that happen? Josh and I went to see Big Bad Voodoo Daddy last night at the Holland Performing Arts Center. Before the show Josh and I met up with Hannah at Blatt.

We’ve wanted to go here for the longest time. We got happy hour drinks and mini pretzel bites as an appetizer. I then got a veggie burger for dinner with a side of cucumber and carrots. It was delicious. Josh got a veggie dog on a pretzel bun that was out of this world. We’ll definitely be visiting here again. Before we knew it it was time to head over to the performance hall.

The show was incredible! To be honest with you guys, I was going for Josh. I thought the show would be good, but it wasn’t something I thought would be my thing. Big Bad Voodoo Daddy totally proved me wrong! They were so good and their music was so catchy. I just wanted to hear more and more! I was laughing and dancing in my seat and it was just so much fun.

How can you not want to dance to this? We bought their new CD Rattle them Bones afterwards and had them sign it. Their new music features a lot of Banjo work and I am such a fan. They are also such nice guys. If they came back to Omaha I would go in a heartbeat. The Omaha Performing Arts has such an amazing lineup this year. I feel so lucky to have this organization in our community.

Questions of the Day: Do you like Jazz music? Are you a Big Bad Voodoo Daddy fan?

That restaurant looks like a cool place. Once again, you make living in Omaha look like so much fun! I thought maybe I’ve heard of Voo doo daddy, but I couldn’t tell you what they sing! Glad you guys had a great time!
