Happy Tuesday! Today is extra exciting for us as we got news that our move timeline was pushed up and that we’ll be getting our stuff today instead of tomorrow. That means lots of days of unpacking but in the end our apartment will be filled with our stuff and will feel like home even sooner. I think that’s a good trade-off.
While running errands yesterday I decided to stop by our local Whole Foods and get lunch. It was fun browsing all the aisles and tasting all the samples.
I got a hot bar lunch that was filled with a little bit of everything. I predict a lot of Whole Foods trips in my future. 😀
While browsing the store I was excited to see they carry my sunscreen! After reviewing it on my blog it’s the only one I really use anymore. It keeps my pale skin burn-free and doesn’t feel oily on my skin. Win!
Josh and I got to discover a California treat while in Nebraska. We went to Nebraska Furniture Mart to check out furniture options for the apartment Monday night. His apartment in PA was already completely furnished so we’re going to be using most of his furniture. We just need to pick up some little items here and there to fill the apartment. Nebraska Furniture Mart is without a doubt the biggest furniture store I’ve ever been to. It’s probably the biggest store I’ve ever been to. It feels like it goes on for days and days. NFM is owned by Warren Buffet and he loves See’s chocolates so he put them in the store. They are so tasty. I’m already looking forward to when we go back again so I can get another one.
We picked up two breakfast bar stools that I think look really nice in our kitchen. I love how they have saddle seats. An even bigger bonus is how cheap they were. Our kitchen looks so empty now! That’s about to change real quick once the movers get here.
We also got a leaning shelf that I think will help separate the dining room from the living room nicely. Josh wants to put some of our bar items on it which I think will look really good.

I love the WF hot bar. The one by us doesn’t have a complete one which makes me sad.

Favorite furniture store is Room & Board. It’s out of Chicago but they have some amazing couches.
Surprisingly I have not been to NFM yet…but Whole Foods..now that is a whole other story! 😉
I love the hot bar at whole foods! I always end up overestimating all the food I can eat and loading my plate up, though, since I want to try a bit of everything ;). Your kitchen looks so awesome! Love the floors, granite, and cabinets… so just about everything!
Oh man, See’s. My mom grew up in CA so every Christmas & Easter she got a few boxes for the family, that was an awesome tradition that I have continued!

As for favorite furniture store, I’ll go with hhGregg for now. This year we bought 2 of their black theater recliners and they are awesome.
Welcome to Nebraska!! I live a bit south of you in Beatrice! I went to Massage school in Omaha and make frequent visits to Whole Foods. There is one opening next month on Lincoln, which is a bit closer to me. Have fun exploring your new city and getting all settled!
