I love lists. And stationary. And tupperware. Things that can organize and declutter life (and my brain) are awesome. I think of this blog as a decluttering agent. It helps me get my thoughts out there, chronicles my life, and records my memories. I thought it would be fun to start every month with a list on here of ten things I would like to achieve by the end of the month.
So without further adue, my Notes for November:
1. Bake with pumpkin as much as possible. Pumpkin is such a quintessential fall food that I absolutely love. I want to enjoy the flavor as much as possible while its in season! I started November off right by making heart-shaped pumpkin scones this morning after breakfast. I used this recipe and they were so good!
2. Read three books on my Nook (and less People magazine). Between school reading, projects, and homework there is not a lot of time left for pleasure reading. And when there is, its usually of the trashy magazine variety. I want to expand my brain with stories other than that of Kim Kardashian’s divorce.
3. Paint my nails (and stop biting them). I love nail polish and have a huge assortment of OPI, China Glaze, Essie, Chanel, and Zoya. The problem is I never seem to end up using it as I bite my nails like crazy. So this month I’d like to stop biting my nails, or at least still paint them!
4. Take my puppies on fall walks. My puppies LOVE walks. They are spoiled and get two a day. Seeing how much they enjoy nature makes me enjoy it more, which is why this month I’d like to spend some more quality time outdoors enjoying the fall weather with my two little fluff balls.
5. Be smart with my money. I can sum up my financial situation pretty easily with just two words: college student. While I am very lucky to be able to do the things that I do and eat the way that I do money is still tight. I want to make sure I continue to spend money wisely and avoid impulse buys that might hinder me from affording things I really need. J.Crew is temporarily blacklisted from my credit cards.
6. Add pilates back into my life. Pilates makes me feel so flexible and strong. It also just makes me feel good. When I do Pilates before bed I sleep so soundly afterward. Its been way too long since I’ve had a consistent Pilates routine and I’d really like to get back into one!
7. Go ice skating. Josh and I went ice skating last winter and it was such an incredible experience. We fell, we laughed, we hugged. I am not the best skater but I love skating along to the music, holding hands, and the big fuzzy blanket and mug of hot chocolate waiting for me afterward.
8. Do a Random Act of Kindness. I love the DoRAK movement and thought this month would be a great month to finally participate in it. Everyone can use a little extra love and kindness! 🙂
9. Keep my grades up. As it gets closer and closer to the Holidays I find myself less and less energetic about writing papers and working on projects. I really have to keep myself motivated for the next month so I do well in my classes. I’m shooting for all A’s!
10. Give Josh a million kisses. November is a very important month for Josh and I! His 27th birthday is November 3rd and our first anniversary is November 12th! I really want to make this month extra special and show him how very much he means to me!
And those are my Notes for November! What’s on your November to-do list? I would love to hear!
