Dove Dry Oil Collection

April 5, 2016 13 Comments

Can we talk about skin for a second? When my skin is looking good I’m feeling good, but when I’m having an issue with my skin it becomes the only thing I notice. Is anyone else like that?

I’m lucky to feel pretty good about the skin I’m in, but my skin has issues just like everyone else’s. I deal with eczema in the summer, dry skin in the winter, and occasional acne that drives me bonkers as I should be way too old for it. Speaking of age, I just read a crazy statistic about how much elasticity your skin begins to lose after you turn 25. Which just so happens to be my age… All this info combined has led to me putting way more time and effort into my skin this year than ever before. I moisturize my face morning and night, drink a ton of water, and try to purchase products that are best for me and my skin issues.

Dove Dry Oil Collection Her Heartland Soul

For this post I’m excited to partner with Dove to help spread the word about their New Dove Dry Oil Collection featuring their Dove Dry Oil Beauty Bar and Dove Dry Oil Moisture Body Wash.

I was very excited to try the Dove Dry Oil Collection because I am a huge fan of dry oils. A dry oil absorbs into your skin fast and doesn’t leave your skin oily or sticky. I was already using them on my face twice daily with great results, so it made a lot of sense to use them on my body. The first thing I noticed and loved when opening the Dove Dry Oil Collection is the smell. It’s a light smell that’s very relaxing. And the product feels so great on my skin.

My use of Dove products goes back way before I started blogging. It actually goes back to my first year of life. As a baby my skin was even more sensitive than it is now. I had issues with so many products my mom and dad took me to the doctor where he told them to use Dove cleansers on my skin. It’s a habit that stuck, and my bathroom has always been stocked with Dove products ever since.

The Dove Dry Oil Collection features a nourishing formula infused with Moroccan Argan oil beads to gently cleanse while helping to replenish nutrients to the skin. It felt so good on my skin and left it feeling soft and smooth even after I stepped out of the shower.

I like Dove products, they do hydrate the skin very well. What I don’t really like about their products is the smell. They could work on it to be better. 🙂

Skin problems can also be caused by the lack of certain nutrients, so besides taking care of it externally, there is a need to be aware of the food we eat and how exposed we are to chemicals, pollutions and other toxins. Optimal nutrition does not only help in having better skin, it also fights the ones causing damage too.

I heard a lot of positive reviews for Dove. Never had chance to buy it. Skin health it’s important, we should be careful and responsible.

During the winter or when I travel I find my skin gets dry. I did recently start using the Dove body wash and it is the best! It’s like lotion but it washes off and leaves all the moisture!

I use a dry oil spray from Acure a few times a week in addition to my moisturizer and also the body serum from One Love Organics is another favorite of mine!
