was spent in wonderful company. Josh, Lily, Pierce, and I went to Mad Mex for burritos and margaritas and had an amazing time. They leave for New York not long after we leave for Omaha!
Of course there was froyo involved.
There was plenty of other good food this weekend too. In between packing and running errands Josh and I grabbed salads from Fiddlehead. We also tried their new berry, green tea, and coconut cream soup. It was delicious, and something I’m already planning on re-creating as soon as we unpack our Vitamix.
We had make-your-own hibachi at Green Bowl.
And one last veggie burger from The Deli. I’m so going to miss that place.
We had to have one last breakfast at Waffle Shop. Their breakfast is legendary and I already look forward to coming back to Penn State to visit to eat here again.
There was some Puma fun that I’ll be blogging more about later.
I decided it was time to take my shellac nails from the wedding off. Making alien hands really does make the process a lot easier! (Alien hands involves rubbing cotton balls in nail polish remover and then placing them on each finger and wrapping aluminum foil around them. You let them sit for ten minutes and then you take them off and can scrub off the nail polish much easier.)
Josh and I got couples’ massages at Artemis downtown. It was such a romantic experience. I was bliss-ed out the entire time and already can’t wait to get another one in the future. I left feeling like a very happy noodle.
I had a gift card to use at Express and ended up taking a packing break to check out weekend sales at the mall. Gap was 40% off clearance. I scooped up this dress for $17 after all the discounts!
I also found a barn of penguins. I kid you not. Life is good. 🙂
Question of the Day: What was the highlight of your weekend?
Danielle @ It's A Harleyyy Life says
I never knew about that nail polish thing… looks pretty funny lol! I can’t wait to follow the next chapter in your life! I’m happy to see you guys are stopping by all your favorite spots before you leave! (:
Erin says
Aw thank you! I can’t believe we only have two days left in PA! It doesn’t feel real yet!
Miz says
ooh now I WISH it had been a couples massage!!!
Erin says
I love couples massages!
Jenn says
Mr PugRunner wishes I would go for a massage. I just can’t get into them. Something is clearly so wrong with me.
Best of luck with your move!
Erin says
Thanks Jenn! I can’t believe there’s just two days left before I’m a Nebraska resident!
Maureen says
SO bittersweet, I am sure!
Does regular nail polish remover work on shellac? I’ve always thought that you need to use regular strength acetone, but if this works, I am in heaven! lol
Erin says
Regular nail polish does work! I was so happy when the polish came off super easy. The move is extra bittersweet. I’m so happy and excited but sad to leave my family at the same time.
Joanna @Makingmine says
Ah, I love hibachi, but I haven’t been since I moved to Omaha! I need to find a new place!
Erin says
We should go together! I need Omaha friends! Haha
Joanna @Makingmine says
Definitely! I know what it’s like to be new to a city 🙂
I sent you a message through your site a few weeks ago, but I’m not sure it delivered. When do you officially get here?
Erin says
Oh no, I never got that, I’m sorry. Did you send it through my contact me form? I’ll have to look into it. In the meantime I’ll send you a message from my blog email when I get home later today.
We arrive bright and early this Friday! Today and tomorrow are just last minute packing and moving preparations. It’s a whirlwind.

I hope your week has been going wonderful! I think every barn should have penguins on it. haha

My highlight was a stellar, wonderfully cloudy 10-mile run on Saturday. Finally a break from the heat 🙂
Erin says
I love summer mornings when it’s still cool out. I’m so glad you had such a good run!

going out with a BANG!
Erin says
It sure feels like it! haha

How was the soup from Fiddlehead? Was it very sweet? I love different soups but the only sweeter one I’ve ever tried was TJ’s carrot-ginger that I wasn’t crazy about.
