I love discovering new-to-me artists and finding songs to power me through my workday. I recently heard about Fredericks Brown and fell in love with their sound. They’re two women from New Zealand who both traveled to NYC to persue music, met in the East Village, formed a band, and never looked back.
They have performed alongside Etta James and The Roots and worked with artists like Kanye West and Common. They’re pretty awesome. If you’re looking for some new music to spice up your playlists I definitely recommend checking them out. Here are some videos I’ve been rocking out to lately:
If you like their sound and live in Omaha you’re in luck! Fredricks Brown is performing at the 1200 Club as part of their first national tour!
The 1200 Club is the Holland Performing Arts Center’s most intimate venue. It’s got a relaxed, nightclub vibe and serves hors d’oeuvres and cocktails right to your candle-lit table. It is so much fun and quite the experience!
Fredericks Brown will be playing in Omaha on Thursday, March 19th at 7:30pm. Tickets are $25 in advance and $30 the day of the performance. Josh and I are going and I can’t wait!
Questions of the Day: Do you like Fredericks Brown’s sound? What’s an artist that you have recently discovered and love? Have you been to a jazz club before?
Disclaimer: I received free tickets to this show.
