The other day I stumbled upon this TED Talk on Facebook. It was done by a Harvard professor that made it his life’s work (along with three generations of scientists before him) to discover what makes people happy, in one of the longest running human studies to date.
I love learning how the human brain works, what makes us tick, and how we can be the best versions of ourselves. If you’ve got a few minutes I definitely recommend listening to his talk.
CliffsNotes version: What he found was the thing that makes people happy also makes them healthy. And that thing is quality relationships.
I feel so lucky to be so in love my husband, and have the relationship that we do. It truly is my biggest blessing in life. And I want to nourish that relationship for decades to come.
One of the ways Josh and I love to spend time together is with date nights. We love sharing in new experiences and enjoying ourselves together. We’ve got a lot of fun date nights on the horizon in 2016.
Later this month we’ll be seeing our first professional ballet performance together. The Moscow Festival Ballet is coming to Omaha! And Omaha Performing Arts invited us to come see the show.
“The Sleeping Beauty” featuring the Moscow Festival Ballet
Saturday, January 23, at 8 p.m.
Omaha’s Orpheum Theater
I can’t wait for this new shared experience and to see Sleeping Beauty told through ballet!
Questions of the Day: Are you a fan of TED Talks? Do you agree with this one? Do you enjoy ballet?

Thanks for the reminder about the importance of date nights … somehow, we seem to let that slip or put it off. Need to get back into it!

OMG JEALOUS! I love the ballet. I get sad sometimes because Omaha’s ballet isn’t quite as mature as some of the others I’ve lived near previously. Have so much fun!!
