Thanks so much for all the encouraging words on yesterday’s post! My first day was great, I absolutely love my new job. Everyone is so nice and I’m so excited for the work I’m going to be doing.
Today’s office lunch was a fresh fruit salad with a side of Boom Chicka Pop. Delicious! π I’m excited to pack all sort of different things for lunch in the future!
Aside from work here are some other things I’ve been up to:
-The Farmers Market in Old Market with Joanna. There were so many sweet treats.
-We took a walk along the river and it was so nice to be near water. I had no idea how nearby it was!
-I finally got our kitchen organized and figured out what appliances would get coveted counter space.
-I decorated my little jewelery nook. I’m still looking for the perfect little wall accent to go over it.
-I met up with fellow marketer and blog reader Ashley at Louie’s Wine Dive. She was so sweet and overlooked me running late because I hit traffic and then got lost in the shopping plaza and couldn’t find the restaurant. Despite the mishaps, I had a great time chatting and getting to know her better. I’m in love with her dress.
-I had some of the best food ever that night. This vegetable ratatouille was out of this world. I must go back again asap to get more.
-I’ve discovered a new shampoo love.
-The Yes-To shampoo has been working miracles on my hair. This is me at Old Market on First Friday. The streets are brick and it is so charming.
-Josh got to taste some rare whiskey he has been hearing rave reviews about at Dundee Dell. It made me happy getting to see him enjoy himself, I feel bad so many of my activities lately have been girls events. We definitely need to start double dating.
I went to an Omaha 20 and 30 somethings meetup with Hannah at La Mesa. There were some really nice people and the food was excellent. I hope to go to another one.
Josh and I enjoyed pizza and appetizers at Pitch.
And stuffed eggplant from M’s Pub.
And salad and mac’n’cheese from Twisted Fork.
And pasta from Vivace.
And ice cream from Ted & Wally’s. We’ve really been eating our way through Omaha.
And stopping to soak up every cool moment Omaha has to offer, like this amazing street drumming band. I posted a clip on Instagram, they were seriously incredible!

Your jewelery nook is fabulous! As far as the “little wall accent” is concerned, have you considered displaying/hanging a few of your more “statement” pieces? That’s an idea. Tough to find that finishing touch sometimes!
Erin says
That’s a great idea!! My statement pieces have been expanding, it’d be nice to show some of them off!
Emily @ Perfection Isn't Happy says
I love that you’ve been networking so much! One of my goals for this year is to attend 3 networking events in my area. Is there a website that you use to find ones in your area?
Erin says
Meetup.com! It is awesome! I think that’s a great goal.

Ahh, I love Omaha so I’m glad you are enjoying it! Twisted Fork is one of my favorite places to eat and Ted & Wally’s is some pretty good ice cream. We actually just went there on Saturday night! I’ll definitely need to try some new restaurants once I’m actually living there. Have you tried Zio’s yet? Probably some of my favorite pizza!

Great post Erin and the food look so yummy yummy. I like farmers market too for the simple reason that I can find fresh produce that have been grown organically (non-GMOs) and also animal products such as organic ground beef.
Hope you are enjoying your stay in Omaha, and post more about your experience there.
Thank you
