Recently, I’ve been focusing on starting my days off with intention.
All too often I’m guilty of madly rushing from one to-do on my list to the next. While it’s great for being productive, it’s horrible for living in the moment. I want my days to matter. I want my actions to count.
Bed Tray | Napkin | Dish | Cup | Notebook
I’ve been working on setting a routine for my morning that focuses on starting off the day calmly and slowly. I eat breakfast, write out my to-do list for the day, and do an internal check-in on how I’m feeling. Am I eating well? Am I spending enough quality time with Josh? My friends? Punkin? Am I getting enough movement in my day? Relaxation? Sleep? Fun?
It’s incredible what starting your morning off on the right foot can do for the rest of your day.
It’s also pretty amazing what eating and using products that are made to matter can do for your life. Target recently handpicked 16 brands that are making top-of-the-line natural, organic, and sustainable products designed to help you live a better life. Target wants to showcase them in their stores and make them more accessible to the public. I’ve got to give Target a huge virtual high-five for that!
Freshpet Select | Yes To Tomatoes | Mrs. Meyers Hand Soap | Justin’s Almond Butter | Stonyfield Super Grains | Stonyfield Super Seeds | Justin’s Maple Almond Butter | Simply Balanced Fruit Snacks | Yes To Coconut | Boom Chicka Bites | Suja | Annie’s
I wasn’t shocked at all when I found out that Stonyfield was one of the 16 brands chosen. I am so passionate about their products, their company, and their commitment to quality organic ingredients. I enjoy their yogurt daily and rave about it to everyone I can.
What I was shocked to hear is that in celebration of Stonyfield being named a Made to Matter brand, they were creating a line of grains and seeds Greek yogurts exclusively for Target. (Other Made to Matter brands are debuting Target-only products in celebration as well!) Stonyfield’s Super Grains and Super Seeds yogurts will be available nationwide in August, but are already starting to pop up in Targets around the country. I was so excited when I found out they were already available near me. They’re just as delicious as you’d imagine.
As I strive to make my days better, it means a lot that Target is working to highlight brands that are making products that can help me achieve my goals. It’s yet another reason I love shopping at that store so much.
Questions of the Day: Are you a Target fan? How do you add intention to your days? Are you interested in trying Stonyfield’s new Super Grains and Super Seeds yogurts?
P.S. My favorite dress from Target.
Thanks to Stonyfield and Target for sponsoring this post!

Starting the morning with intention can really change your whole day. It’s difficult to make time for that sometimes but so worth it.

Yes! It makes a world of difference in my day!

I love the idea of this- so many mornings I wake up (late, after hitting the snooze) and rush around like a mad woman trying to get out the door! Your way sounds so much calmer + more organized. 🙂

Torry @ A World Without Wheat says
I love Target. Everything about them but I did not know they were doing this so it makes me love Target even more. Thank you for the update and I will have to head in there to find some of these products. Love Boom Chicka Pop!
Erin says
Boom Chicka Pop is so good! I’m sad to say how quickly I went through that bag!
Heather says
It’s all about intention. When we have a purpose and focus on living instead of just crossing things off our checklist, we’re able to be more in-tune with our life and our relationships. Great read!
Erin says
Yes! I’m so enjoying being more present! Here’s hoping I can keep it up!
Hannah @ CleanEatingVeggieGirl says
And now I have a MAJOR popcorn craving… which isn’t a good thing! 😉 Haha!
Erin says
I’m so obsessed with popcorn it’s ridiculous! haha
shelby says
I have wanted to try those bites! I will have to go out and get some. Thanks for sharing.
Erin says
Ohh those popcorn bites are so good! I’m embarrassed to admit how quickly I went through them!

Starting your morning with intention is such a great way to slow down and enjoy your day! I need to work on that. Also, as a Canadian who lost our beloved Target… I am so jealous of everyone who still gets to shop there! I cannot wait of my trip to Florida in the fall so I can stock up on all of my favourite Target brands!
Erin says
That’s so sad Canada doesn’t have Targets! I love that store so much!!
Heathers Looking Glass says
I LOVE TARGET! that is all.
Erin says
You and me both girl! I’m obsessed!
Haley Bradley says
I love the idea of starting your day with intention. I recently became a work from home mom, and so often it is do easy to run around like crazy and get absolutely nothing done.
Have a great week,

Dapper Fox Design says
Awesome! I love the healthy eating intentions… Now, if all those packaged foods could start using compostable materials instead of plastics 😉 hehe…
Erin says
Yes! That would be wonderful!
Christine says
This is something I need to work on. Starting my mornings off a little slower. Target…I love target. I love how they are getting more organic things in their grocery isle. It is expensive to eat healthy. That is really too bad. We all can benefit from eating healthy, it makes you feel so much better in the long run.
Erin says
Yes! Good health decisions pay off in leaps and bounds in the long run!
JAMIE says
Love me some Target. I’m hard pressed to go in to pick up my Rx and leave otherwise empty handed haha. I really love this goal of yours. I need to focus on the moment… too often I find myself worrying about things in the future and not enjoying the present. I think this is something I’m going to try to do by writing a positive every morning and every evening. 🙂 I would LOVE to try Stonyfield’s new Super Grains …
Erin says
The Super Grains are so great! I love the idea of starting the morning and ending the evening with a positive!
Miranda @ Miranda Writes Blog says
I am definitely a Target fan! What a great idea for them to showcase all of these awesome brands. I like what you said about being productive vs. being present. It’s a difficult balancing act, especially when you feel like your to-do list is a mile long, but I agree that setting yourself up at the beginning of the day is so helpful.
Erin says
It’s amazing what a difference a good start to the day can make!
Amanda @ Diary of a Semi-Health Nut says
Love love love Target!! And I agree it feels so much better to start the day off with intention! I definitely have a hard time living in the moment! Thanks for the reminder, friend!
Erin says
Absolutely Amanda! Omg Target is so dangerous! It’s easy to want to buy the entire store!
Morgan @ Morgan Manages Mommyhood says
My love affair with Target it real. (and expensive..) when we moved into our house, I found out there was a Target right down the road. We seriously go AT LEAST once a week. I love to use the Cartwheel app, and I swear it’s my son’s favorite store.
Erin says
Target is the best! Between Cartwheel and the Red Card I never pay full price!
Jackie Cheuvront says
I really needed this today haha. I went to sleep with the intention to wake up earlier and start the day right but I kept hitting that stupid snooze button and ended up waking up late! Ugh.
Erin says
You got this Jackie! I know you can do it!
Shannyn @ Frugal Beautiful says
Yes, I love Target! I think it’s great you’re trying to be more mindful. That’s been a goal of mine this year as well.

Beautiful photos!!
I would love to start my days with intentions, but having a toddler is not really conducive to that right now…
And yes, Target is pretty much the best store ever created!
Erin says
Target is one of my favorite stores! I can’t even imagine starting a morning quietly with a toddler! That’s a hard task! haha
Alyssa @ good + simple says
I’m with you. One of my goals for this year is to have a morning “routine,” which does NOT involve going online as soon as I open my eyes. 🙂 I do love Target, especially since I’m fortunate enough to live 5 minutes away from one. I’m probably there at least once a week!
Erin says
Target is a dangerous place! I go in there for one thing and leave with a cart full!
joni mitchell says
I love Target! I start my morning with some God time, followed by exercise (something new), make a to do list and go for it
Erin says
That sounds like a great start to your morning! I’m working on exercising more consistently.

I am a HUGE Target fan and after reading this am curious about trying the Stonyfield brand! 🙂
Erin says
Stonyfield is the best!! I highly recommend it!
Erin says
I absolutely love Target and many of the brands you mentioned in your post. Stonyfield is the only yogurt I buy and I have been a Justin’s fan for years. I’m pretty much grain free but seeds? I’m down with that!
Erin says
The Stonyfield seeds yogurt is so good! Josh and I both give it two big thumbs up!
Jenny KIm says
I had no idea Target was doing this. I love going to Target, and in fact I spend hours in there sometimes, just browsing through each aisle. I even started buying some groceries there as well, although I think it’s much pricier than if I went to my local food 4 less store.
Erin says
I love Target so much! I never know what I will leave that store with!
christina says
Starting your day off in the right way sets the tone for the whole day. Good for you for being more aware of what you need.
I love Target and Stonyfield!
Erin says
Thanks Christina! Fingers crossed I can keep it up!
Jessie @ Chasing Belle says
That Grains and Seeds yogurt looks too good to pass up! I can always count on Target to highlight new and upcoming brands. I am glad to see they are extending their efforts to highlight ones that are organic and good for the environment as well 🙂

Believe it or not, I am working on this very thing. Starting my blog and learning of all of the link ups and blogging tools and groups, is sometimes overwhelming. I am beginning to feel overwhelmed and like I’m just going from here to there without truly accomplishing what I intended to accomplish at the beginning of my day. I have decided to settle down and just focus. This was a timely post for me. I found you on Link It To Me Link Party and I’m glad I did. To your continued success.
Erin says
Good luck Clearissa! You got this! My best advice is you can do it all, but not today. Set long-term goals and just chip away at what you can when you can.
Clearissa says
Thank you, Erin. I will definitely work on 🙂 I was so very caught up in the article, I forgot to mention the bedroom. It is gorgeous. I absolutely am in love with the bedding. Take care and again, thanks for the advice.
Alex from Sew, Simmer, and Share says
