Lace with a Pop of Blue

October 27, 2014 37 Comments

Today I want to share the outfit I wore to work on Monday and to my monthly Junior League new member meeting. Our October meeting was held at the Nebraska Humane Society, an organization that is very close to my heart. We were given a tour and learned about how they rescue and rehabilitate animals, and get them ready for adoptions. I’d adopt every animal in the world if I could. We then spent the rest of the meeting learning more about Junior League, and socializing at Voodoo Taco afterwards. It was a great day and I felt awesome in my outfit.

I finally decided to pull out my good camera for outfit photos. It blew me away the difference in quality it makes. I guess it’s time to say hasta la vista to my iPhone outfit snaps.

Omaha weather has been fabulous lately. It has been in the 70’s which is perfect for light layers.

I picked up this lace top on my recent trip to the J.Crew outlets. I love everything about the shirt, but especially the color, how easy it is to wear, the fact that it can be dressed up or down, and the pretty texture on the front. They’re out of the gray online now but they had tons in the Omaha Factory store two weeks ago.

I love these scalloped little booties. They add a nice little lift without feeling like heels.

I got this belt this past summer (hence the color no longer being available) and love how it adds a little pop of color to an otherwise muted outfit.

Questions of the Day: Is anyone else a fan of muted outfits with a pop of color? What’s a charity that’s close to your heart? Are you breaking out the tights and leggings yet?

So cute! I love the bright belt and I love hearing that you felt good in your outfit. that is the most important part of getting dressed. Going to humane societies is so hard – I always want to adopt all of the animals!
