Koss Fit Headphones Review

May 23, 2013 12 Comments

I don’t know if I shared this with you guys but I have been on a quest for the perfect headphones for months. My last pair was a little sad. After only a few uses the sound stopped working in one ear. I should have ditched them a long time ago, but I figured they still worked so I continued to use them for workouts as long as I could. Eventually enough was enough and I had to throw them out. I was so indecisive about what pair to replace them with that I ended up going months borrowing my dad’s iPod headphones. (Which I think we can all agree are the worst headphones in the world to work out with.) Needless to say, I was pretty excited when I received two pairs of the new Koss Fit Series headphones to review. They have all the sound quality Koss is known for, but in a smaller package. They’re also specifically designed for women’s ears. They got use from day one and have been through a lot. Here’s what I think of them:

First off: The colors. How cute are these headphones? The color selection is adorable, which is really important for someone who likes to coordinate her workout outfits. 😀

The ones I immediately gravitated towards were the FitBuds. I love how these sit snug in your ears and don’t move once they’re in place. I found myself forgetting about them while I was working out. The sound is great and I was really impressed with the range in volume. I love these for running.

Ever since in-ear headphones came out, I’ve been hesitant to go back to ones that involve clipping onto the outside of your ear. I realize that for some sports they are very useful though, so I decided to try the Koss FitClips while cycling and strength training. I was blown away by how comfortable and lightweight they are while still being supportive and firm in my ear. I found myself enjoying them and reaching for them just as much as the FitBuds.

I really have nothing bad to say about these headphones. They are cute, they are comfortable, they have good sound quality, and they’re a decent price ($29.99). I 100% recommend them to anyone looking to get their sweat on and rock out while they do so.

If you’re interested in purchasing a pair you can use the code Fit4Life to get $5 off at Koss.

Questions of the Day: What do you look for when you buy headphones? Are you an innie headphone user or an outie headphone user?

Disclaimer: I received these headphones through a partnership with FitFluential. All opinions are my own.

I really want to try the Flexfit ones! Usually earbuds don’t bother me, but lately mine have been slipping out more than usual!

I usually use the headphones that wrap around your ears, but only because the earbuds usually just do not fit me right and tend to fall out. I’d love to try the buds. They look very snug like falling out wouldn’t be a problem.

And I love the colors too 🙂

The colors are what caught my attention at first, and then the high quality and good design are what kept me using them over and over again.

I run a lot outside, so I actually look for crappy ones that don’t cancel out background noise. I like the ones that sling on your ear!

I was surprised how much I liked the outside the ear headphones. They are super comfortable!
