If you guys have been reading here for a while you know that last year I discovered (and became hooked on) POPSUGAR Must Have Boxes. They’re a fun monthly treat to myself (I buy these with my own money) that have introduced me to some fun, new products. I seriously cannot count the number of times I hear a friend talking about a new product they just heard about and I say, “Oh yeah, I got that in my POPSUGAR box a few months ago.”
This is box number seven for me. And in typical Erin fashion, I’m reviewing July’s box in August. Better late than never right? Here’s what I got:
I love that I never know what to expect. It’s like opening up a Christmas present!
Dang Foods Toasted Coconut Chips. (Value- $3)
I of course reach for the food first. I love coconut but wasn’t too crazy about these. There’s sugar added and the taste and texture seem a little off. I’m trying to keep my eating in check and this just wasn’t worth the calories for me.
Sun Bum Sunscreen and Lotion. (Value- $20)
I literally gasped when I saw this. When I was in Hawaii this stuff was in all the fancy resort gift shops. I remember picking it up and asking the clerk about it. Josh had to coerce me into putting it down and leaving the store because a) it’s expensive and b) I brought more sunscreen on that trip than I could possibly use. I’m so excited I get to try it now! (As I’m writing this I’m realizing others could find it weird I’m getting excited about sunscreen. Pale people problems?)
TKO Jump Rope with Soft Grip Handles. (Value- $13)
Josh and I are trying to build up a nice little home workout equipment collection now that our Saturday morning sessions with Jess will be ending soon. We’ve been scoping out kettle bells and medicine balls. I’m so excited to add this jump rope to the collection. Jump rope is a great way to get your heart racing super fast. Side note, but I cannot look at these without starting to sing the Justin Timberlake song in my head.
French Bull Ziggy Salad Servers. (Value- $12)
I’m a sucker for home goods with cute patterns and colors. These salad servers are great quality and are perfect for parties. Josh and I really want to have a end of summer party before he goes back to school.
Revlon Bold Lacquer Length and Volume Mascara. (Value- $8)
I’m not really a fan of drugstore makeup. I just don’t like the idea of buying a product and not being able to try it first. And I totally fall victim to department store marketing. I already have a mascara that I love so this one will be offered up to a friend or stashed in a toiletry bag incase I forget my regular mascara while traveling.
ACME Party Box Company Chevron Straws. (Value- $7)
I’m obsessed with paper straws. How cute are these? They’re perfect for sipping drinks poolside.
Michael Stars Beach Hat. (Value- $48)
Hats are not my friend. I think they’re adorable and want to be able to rock them. (Especially this one, it’s seriously cute with a little leather bow in the back!) But I always look ridiculous so I embrace it and make duck faces. Hopefully this picture makes you feel better about how you look in hats. 😀

Yeah Josh balks a little at the cost but I try and play up the value of how much all the items originally cost. 😉
Dang it! I think I will have to try this one – I’m a bit addicted to subscription boxes!! I love Sun Bum! We bought it in Park City when I forget our plethora of sunscreen at the hotel. My son tells me he thinks it smells like cookies – I totally agree!
Who wouldn’t want to smell like cookies? Well, maybe me because then I’d want to eat cookies! haha You are going to love this box. I’ve quickly gotten obsessed.
Ooooooh, these monthlyl subscriptions are dangerous to me bc I love them so much!! I recently only do Ipsy and I enjoy it. It’s $10 a month and you get 4-5 make-up items … I miiiiiight have to look into Popsugar hehe.
I’m obsessed with POPSUGAR. I try and talk up how much the original value of the items were when Josh asks how much a box costs. In the end it’s a value, right? 😉
