-and the first night of Hanukkah! Happy 8 days of lights everyone! Josh and I are breaking out the menorah tonight.
-I just got my hair done! It has been long overdue. I love how my hair feels when I leave the salon. If only it could stay like this forever.
-Have you seen this KMart commercial? I can’t stop laughing.
-I love being reminded how good it feels to move. Pilates and I have been close friends lately. Stretching out every day gives me such extra energy! I need to remind myself of this when I get in an exercising funk.
-How adorable are these Starbucks Alice and Olivia goodies? I saw them when Josh and I were picking up pumpkin spice lattes at Target and may have dropped a few subtle hints that that this coffee mug would be a perfect stocking stuffer. ;p
-It’s week 2 of my #switch2swerve challenge. Josh and I turned a decadent recipe we found featured at Whole Foods into a guiltless snack when we swapped Swerve for sugar!
Sugared Cranberries
Makes 3 cups
3 cups Swerve
2 cinnamon sticks
6 whole cloves
3 cups water
3 cups fresh cranberries, rinsed
1 cup superfine Swerve (we blended it in the Vitamix!)
Mix Swerve, cinnamon sticks and cloves with water in a saucepan.
Bring to a boil over medium heat. Simmer for 1 minute.
Remove from heat and pour into a bowl before stirring in cranberries.
Cover and refrigerate for 8 hours.
Drain cranberries. (But keep the strained liquid to use as a simple syrup for holiday cocktails!)
Place superfine Swerve in a bowl and gently toss in cranberries.
Place cranberries on a baking sheet to dry, about 1 – 2 hours.
I normally hate the tartness of cranberries but I loved the ones I tried at Whole Foods. They were sweet instead of tart! Once I saw the recipe I knew why; a serving of sugared cranberries has 50 grams of sugar! Thank goodness I had a sweet alternative available. ;p This was the recipe that really made Josh a Swerve fan. When he tasted the Swerve cranberries and could see they tasted just like the sugared cranberries he got really excited and started brainstorming recipe ideas. I can’t wait to see what he comes up with.
-Is anyone else obsessed with The Blacklist? It’s Josh’s and my new favorite show! This weeks episode was crazy! I can’t wait to see what happens next week!
-I’ve been playing this song pretty much nonstop since Kesha and Pitbull performed it at the AMAs last weekend. Country music meets pop meets hip hop?! It’s all my musical favorites in one!
-I am so excited that tomorrow is Thanksgiving! I can’t wait to sleep in, watch the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, ooh and ahh over the cute puppies at the Purina Dog Show, and then head on over to Molly and Brian’s for some holiday celebrations. I hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving surrounded by loved ones and filled with good food and laughter!

So I am laughing really hard right now at that commercial because part of my life involves going to commercial auditions to be in the commercial, and I am just thinking about what these guys had to do in order to book their role in that KMART ad! 😉 I would love to have been those casting directors!
