I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change

July 31, 2012 12 Comments

I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend! I spent mine in State College with Josh, his mom, and a good family friend, Robin. Debbie and Robin were visiting for the weekend and what a fun weekend it was.

Debbie and Robin surprised Josh and I with tickets to see I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change and it was the best surprise. I had no idea what to expect and was thrilled with a hilarious and touching and scarily accurate look at the various stages of love throughout different people’s lifetime. It was such a great show I wanted to share a few of my favorite scenes with you. I found these songs from the production on Youtube, while I’m obviously biased towards the performers I saw I think all of the people in the videos are fantastic.

Hey There Single Gal/ Guy:

A Stud and A Babe:

Such a good show that I really recommend if it’s ever in your area. We all loved it!

This weekend we also went to visit the Boal Museum in Boalsburg, PA. It’s a beautiful house with a ton of history. We learned a lot and had a lot of fun exploring the huge grounds.

The four of us on the front lawn.

And what would a weekend in State College be without lots of good food? We went to the Deli downtown and I got my favorite veggie burger in the world. It was delicious!

We went to Fiddlehead for amazing personalized salad creations. This salad beast had pears, walnuts, artichokes, grapes, feta, and avocado-lime dressing. It was amazing.

We went to the Boalsburg Tavern and I got cajun veggie alfredo that was so good I wanted to eat every single bite but the portion was just too big.

And the most amazing, make-your-own falafel sandwiches from Pita Cabana. Oh my goodness was this a flavorful and tasty sandwich.

Besides enjoying each other’s company and eating ourselves silly Josh and I also accomplished a big wedding milestone this weekend. We signed the contract for our wedding venue and put down the deposit! We are officially getting married at the Atherton Hotel on July 6, 2013! I can’t wait!

Question of the Day: What was the highlight of your weekend?

What a fun weekend! My highlight included seeing my boyfriend (who is in Medical school…so we’re doing the long distance thing right now). I LOVE seeing him. Thanks for sharing your wonderful weekend highlights with us. Love hearing your wedding plans!

Aw thanks so much! I’m having a lot of fun writing about my wedding planning, although it’s kind of crazy how much thought and detail goes into one day!

That’s so exciting you got to see your boyfriend! Long distance can be really hard, but it is so worth it in the end!
