Guys I want to go back to Sarasota. Like tomorrow. I had the best time there and completely fell in love with the area. If you haven’t checked out my recap of what I did and where I ate in Sarasota, make sure to check that out. Today I’m talking all about the hotel I stayed at during my time in Sarasota.
Hotel Indigo Sarasota
Hotel Indigo is an international chain of boutique hotels that is part of the larger IHG group. Their hotels are known for featuring local artists and decor that matches the destination. There’s nothing cookie cutter about Hotel Indigo properties! Hotel Indigo Sarasota was a true treat.
Talk about an entrance right when you walk in! The lobby did a great job of putting me in a beach vacation mindset and I immediately wanted to curl up in those oversized chairs. What a perfect reception after a long day of travel!
My favorite part of the lobby is the bowl of salt water taffy at the check-in desk. It’s there for whenever you need a little extra sweetness.
How cool is this hydration station? Ever room has a carafe so you can always stay hydrated in the Florida heat.
The beautiful bar. I drank a glass of wine there one night while reading Edible Sarasota.
The H2O Bistro looked great. I didn’t get a chance to eat there but I enjoyed checking out the beautiful decor from the bar.
Same with the fitness center. While I didn’t make time to workout on this trip I really appreciated the mix of workout equipment and how welcoming they made it look. There’s nothing worse than trying to talk yourself into working out on vacation and having to head to a windowless, mirrorless room in the basement of a hotel.
A cute little outdoor area featuring hot and cold sitting pools. I would have liked to come out here and read for a little bit but we were just too busy having fun exploring Sarasota!
And now for the thing everyone wonders most about: the rooms! I was in love with my room and the charming little details. Check out that beautiful bed!
I love when hotels have local guidebooks so I can learn more about the area.
The TV I never turned on. The sign of a successful vacation!
I love the open storage underneath this bathroom vanity. I’m always trying to file ideas away for the future when Josh and I own a home.
The biggest open shower I’ve ever been in. It was HUGE!
I loved this bed. And the indigo phone. I thought it was such a fun touch.
I really enjoyed my stay at Hotel Indigo Sarasota and would absolutely recommend it to others. The staff was always very kind and even brought me up a toothbrush and toothpaste in the middle of the night when I was getting ready for bed and realized I left mine at home. The hotel is immaculate, the rooms are beautiful, and the location is perfect. You can get downtown or to the beach in just a few minutes. They even have bikes you can take to ride around town!
Questions of the Day: Have you stayed at a Hotel Indigo property before? Would you stay at Hotel Indigo Sarasota? Have you ever seen an indigo phone before? Shower or bathtub?
A big thanks to Visit Sarasota for covering my traveling, lodging, and expenses on this trip!
Oh wow! This hotel looks absolutely amazing! I can’t believe it. I just want to go there right now 🙂

It looks beautiful! Ok now I want to go to the beach
I loved following your adventures on snapchat..especially the part of getting free drink tickets! Such a nice touch.
Hotel Indigo looks amazing. I would definitely stay there if I could. I lived in Sarasota from the time I was 4 until I was 8 and it was definitely my favorite time in my childhood. I only remember so much of Sarasota but they have beautiful beaches and I loved getting ice cream on St. Armand’s Circle.
Love the decor of the hotel. It definitely has that beachy vibe and the rooms look so comfy. Really good idea to have the hydration stations as well to do with the Florida sun
This place looks so lovely! And your photos are very nice – really captures the upscale beach feel!
what a beautiful hotel. I love staying at their hotels. I think it’s a great idea they use hardwood floors in their rooms. So much easier to clean! Thanks for sharing.
This hotel looks lovely. I am in love with that lobby. That alone is enough to make me want to go there. Maybe this winter…

Love the hotel! It seemed so bright, fresh, and cheery! 🙂
I thought it was cute that they even matched the sweets with the wall colour of the lobby!
Ohhh that hotel is so pretty! (Most Hotel Indigos are!) I usually stay with family when I am down in the Sarasota area, but maybe I need to splurge and stay at a hotel every now and then haha.
Um, the accent wall in your hotel bedroom is GORGEOUS. Love this! Great hotel review, lady!

The colors in the room are so great. I just want to jump on the bed and lounge!
Wow, that was one fancy place. It was so beautiful…every inch of it.
Thx for introducing me to he Indigo Hotel chain, Erin. I’d not previously heard of them, but judging from what you’ve shown us of the Indigo in Sarasota, I’d love to try one out! I love boutique hotels that feature local art as part of their decor. And no, I’ve never seen an Indigo blue phone before. Nice touch!
