Halloween Party Recap

Happy Halloween! This year Josh and I weren’t sure what we were going to be until only a few days before our friends’ party.

Any guesses what we were? I sure hope so because I’m wearing this again to work today for a Halloween costume contest! haha I’m competitive and want to win! (Edited to add: My Ariel wig is MIA so I’m going as a runaway bride instead!)

We were Ariel and Prince Eric! I love Disney and Josh was such a good sport to go along with my desire to be a mermaid princess. 😀

This past weekend our friends Molly and Brian invited us to a Halloween party. It was so much fun! They are such incredible hosts. (And are dressed up as June Carter and Johnny Cash.) Molly is a fabulous cook and had a potato bar, spiked apple cider, and delicious desserts. Josh and I are so happy we met them, and that they were so kind to invite us. Just having moved to the area we were nervous we wouldn’t have any Halloween plans. I actually met Molly through the 20-something meetup group that Hannah invited me to be a part of.  She’s a lot of fun to hang out with and Brian is such a nice guy. We didn’t leave until really late and realized that probably wasn’t the smartest move the night before an early morning race. It was totally worth it though, and everything worked out okay the next day. 🙂

Question of the Day: How are you celebrating Halloween today? After work I’m heading to Joanna’s house to help her hand out candy since Josh and I live in an apartment and wont be getting any visitors. While I am so excited to spend the next five or so years in an apartment downtown in the city I’m really looking forward to getting to hand out candy in a neighborhood one day.
