Hey everyone! Notice anything different? Girl Gone Veggie got a facelift! This change has been long over-due. Since I’ve started blogging my focus has shifted from just food to food, fitness, relationships, travel, and everything in between. A lot can happen in three years! I’ve been wanting a blog design that showcased my life and my personality more for a long time.
This new site is everything I wished it could be and more. And that is all because of Jeff and Kevin. Jeff is a really good friend of mine, husband of Joanna, and coding genius. Kevin is husband of Kitty and graphic designer extraordinaire. Together they are a match made in website design heaven. They are easy to work with, incredibly talented, affordably priced, and perfectionists when it comes to making sure that your website vision comes to life. I could not have had a better experience and recommend Murnan Creative 110%.
Some new and improved blog features that I’m really excited about include:
- View posts about: I was always horrible with tagging and didn’t really find any use in tags. I am so excited to say I’ve done away with tags on my blog. Instead, I’m labeling my blog posts with one or multiple main topics that bring readers to my site. All posts will still show on my main page, but if you want to read just about my latest recipes, my travel adventures, or posts that documented milestones in my life you can click on the topic and all the posts that fit that category will load. I went through all my past blog posts and made sure they’re categorized correctly.
- You can subscribe to my website: I’ve never had a newsletter before because I didn’t really get the point of them. I never signed up for someone else’s newsletter, so why would I have someone sign up for mine? The more I learned about them the more I saw their value. (And the more I wished I had been subscribing to others’ newsletters all this time!) If you enter your email address you’ll get a once a week (every Friday morning) email from me with a picture and description of my latest posts from that week. I’ll never spam you, never sell your email address, or any of that crazy stuff. It’s just a once a week deal that keeps you from missing posts I’ve written if you happen to like my little corner of the internet and want to keep updated.
- About: I’ve updated my about page. Hopefully it tells you a little more about me and why the heck I even started a blog, let alone called it Girl Gone Veggie.
- Wedding: I’ve cleaned up my wedding page so it’s easier to find specific posts if you’re planning a wedding or looking for a post in particular.
- Media Kit: I’ve finally made a media kit! I’m a marketer, so I don’t know how this has taken me so long. But I love brands, I love branding, and I love being a brand advocate for products I’m passionate about. Check it out if you have a product that you think would be a good fit for my site.
- Blog Love: There are so many amazing bloggers out there. Come meet some of my favorites!
And that’s my new blog design in a nutshell! Girl Gone Veggie is evolving and changing, just like me! Feel free to explore and check out all the new updates for yourself. There might be a few other fun surprises scattered around the site. 🙂

I love the new look! The only thing is that the font is a little too skinny for my blind eyes to read. It might just be me and that it’s 5am, but I wanted to let you know. Otherwise I love everything about your new site! 🙂
