Happy Friday! I am SO excited for the weekend. I am sick as a dog (again…) and really need this weekend for rest and relaxation. I think this back to back cold is my body’s way of telling me to slow down. After a week of sleeping upright on the couch because it’s the only way I’m able to breathe, that message is heard loud and clear!
Okay, enough sickness talk. Let’s talk about things I’m loving! Here’s five things I’m loving this Friday:
1. Have you seen this TED talk about teaching girls to be brave instead of perfect? My reaction while watching it: yes, yes, all the yes.
2. For Hanukkah Josh got me tickets to see Riverdance in Lincoln on St. Patrick’s Day. I grew up Irish dancing and dreamed of seeing Riverdance live on stage. The performance was incredible and everything I always imagined it to be.
3. This one is for all my fellow monthly subscription box addicts. Prospurly Box delivers $80 worth of organic, local, artisan goods to your doorstop every month for just $50. I love this because not only am I introduced to new products I might love, but I also am sent some fun items that make perfect gifts. I’m throwing it back with this photo and sharing my November box. My absolute favorite thing was actually the winter-themed stationery tucked in the side of this photo. I love sending out cards in the winter and these were so special. I’m a huge fan of this box.
4. This past week Josh and I were invited to Alley V to sample some of their menu items and learn more about their bowling alley. I suck at bowling but always have a blast. The food at Alley V was great and the atmosphere for bowling was so much fun. It’s definitely a serious upgrade from bowling alleys of yore.
5. Target is having a buy one get one 50% off shoe sale! Done and done. Now I just need to go get a pedicure!

Those Target shoes are super cute! This Friday I am loving the fact that all my plans for the weekend fell through and I have a weekend all to myself! I need to remind myself to stop over scheduling my weekends and leave some down time. Enjoy the weekend and hope you feel better soon!

Bummer you have been sick. I try to is slow down as much as much as I can, which obviously isn’t much because we are always busy, and drink soup even when you’re healthy. I eat a lot of pho and believe the broth keeps me well!
