Happy Friday! I’m writing this post from up in the air, I’m on my way to Colorado for a long weekend! I was invited on a press trip that I am so excited for. It’s my first time ever visiting this state! Make sure to follow me on Instagram, Snapchat (@erin.fairchild) and Twitter to keep updated on all my fun adventures. I’m going snowboarding for the second time in my life and am attempting not to kill myself in the process. I’ll be back next week with a full recap. In the meantime, here’s what I’m loving this Friday:
1. My sister is getting married! And I’m going to be her Matron of Honor! Gosh the word matron makes me sound old. I am so excited for her and am really looking forward to helping her celebrate her big day. Also: wedding cake!!
2. Early morning airport selfie for the win! You guys, these AfterShokz Trekz Titanium headphones are the coolest thing. I’m more than a little obsessed. Josh and I have both taken them out running and then used them for day-to-day activities and I’m starting to get concerned he’s going to take them from me one day and never give them back. They wrap around your head and transmit sound via bone conduction, allowing you to still keep your awareness of your surroundings. They’re wireless so you don’t have to worry about cords and are water-resistant so you don’t have to worry about sweating on them during a workout and causing sound issues. Technology amazes me.
3. Have you seen Pentatonix’s rendition of Be Our Guest? It involves Disney, accapella, Dancing with the Stars dancers, and fireworks. It’s pretty much perfect.
4. Did you know today is National Pistachio Day? I love pistachios and am celebrating by choosing them as my healthy snack at the airport. These Setton Farms ones are so yummy!
5. I’m re-falling in love with a bag I haven’t used in forever. I grabbed this purse out of my closet to bring on this trip for it’s cross-body feature. I only wanted to bring one purse so I needed something that was big enough to store everything I’d need when navigating through airports and then small and easy enough to carry around on a busy weekend. This Marc by Marc Jacobs bag is perfect.
Questions of the Day: Have you been to Colorado before? Do you snowboard? Have you tried bone conduction headphones? Are you a fan of pistachios? What are you loving this Friday?

I love pistachios! I love that it takes 5 seconds to open it up so that it slows me down!
Lauren @ Oh Hey! I Like That! says
Congrats on being a matron of honor!!! And I loved the Be Our Guest performance, but Dick Van Dyke coming out during Step in Time made me cry!

I’ve never tried bone conduction headphones but they sound cool – I always like to be able to hear what’s happening around me when I’m running.

I love Colorado especially the mountains outside of Denver. Have so much fun! I’ll be following along on your snaps!
Iris says
Congratulations to your sister and cheers on being matron of honour!
I like pistachios. I have not had them in a while. I should pick some up soon.
Jen @ Pretty Little Grub says
Congrats to your sister. I hate matron of honor. I’m married and in a friends wedding but I asked her to call me maid of honor because it sounds so much better.
Rosey Rebecca says
Congrats to your sister! I’m getting married in October and my best friend is my matron of honor–I know it’s the correct term, but I find myself calling her my maid of honor more often than not, because you’re right, matron sounds so weird when you’re referring to someone you grew up with! We’re not that old! haha
Love your airport selfie!
Nicole says
Congrats little sis! We moved to Colorado because we love the state so much. We spent most of our weekends skiing, hiking, or anything else that happens in the mountains.
Julie is Hostess At Heart says
Very exciting! Love that bag!
