Friday Five

Happy Friday! Who else is excited it’s the weekend? Josh and I are volunteering with my work for a few hours on Saturday, but otherwise have no plans. That sounds like a glorious weekend to me. We want to rent some movies, snuggle up, and enjoy a quiet weekend together. I can’t wait! Here’s what else I’m loving this Friday:

1. Whole Foods in the Midwest are offering an incredible deal on beauty products this weekend. This Saturday, March 21st at 10am they are offering limited edition beauty bags filled with beauty products. (The Omaha store has less than 100 bags available so these are going to go quick.)

The value of the bag is $60, but they’re selling for $18. Whole Foods wants to showcase all the amazing beauty brands they sell and bring awareness to the fact that all products they sell meet their Quality Standards. That means their products are free of pthalates, microbes, triclosan, BHT, BHA, aluminum carbohydrate and many other questionable ingredients commonly found in beauty products. They’re also never tested on animals!

The products in this bag include Derma E Microdermabrasion Scrub, Acure Cell Stimulating Facial Mask, Trilogy Vital Moisturizing Cream, Gabriel Mascara, Giovanni 2chic Blackberry & Coconut Milk Ultra-Repair Shampoo,and  Pacific Eye Shadow Duo. The bag itself is handmade with no two exactly alike. I am in love with mine and see myself using it all the time for travel.

2. Google Feud is my new online game addiction. It’s so fun! Google starts a popular search term and then you guess what other people searched to complete the phrase. Three strikes and you’re out! Some of the search queries are way worse than I thought and some are way better. Both are fascinating! I have always wanted to go on Family Feud so Google Feud is right up my alley!

3. I loved my St. Patrick’s Day outfit. I really need to make more of an effort more often. I’m just not a morning person and summoning the energy required for hair+makeup+a decent outfit in the morning is hard for me.

4. Josh and I went to see Fredericks Brown perform at the Omaha Performing Arts’ 1200 Club last night.  They brought down the house. Their energy was infectious and I got completely carried away by the music. I love how intimate the experience is with candlelit tables and drinks and food.  I try not to curse on my blog or social media channels, but I totally SnapChatted a video of the performance with the caption #BadAssB******. It’s an accurate statement.

5. My love for Outlander is still going strong. I’m halfway through the second book, Dragonfly in Amber, and am so invested in the series. If I could read as much as I wanted to I’d be done with the second book by now but work, my husband, and my friends keep me busy. It’s crazy to me that there’s still like seven more books to read and they’re each about 900 pages. Can I take a book reading vacation?
