Friday Five 44 with Giveaways!

December 5, 2014 19 Comments

Happy Friday! I’m finishing up the last day of my first week of work at my new job! I absolutely love it. And next week I will be in sunny California on a quick little vacay. Life is good. Here are five other things I’m loving this Friday.

1. I first heard this song in a TV commercial and immediately fell in love. I downloaded it and have been listening to it on repeat ever since. I love Christmas songs that have heart.

2. One of the ways I’ve been listening to that beautiful song is on this Sol Republic PUNK Wireless Speaker. The company sent me one to test out and Josh immediately started oohing and ahhing over it. I was just excited to have a speaker to amplify music for us. Phone speakers can only do so much.

Josh then proceeded to blow my mind and tell me it’s wireless and synchs with bluetooth so you can put it anywhere and it will play your iTunes/Pandora/Spotify playlist straight from your phone. Then I started really oohing and aching too.

I love the quality of the sound, the small, portable size, and how the volume is able to be adjusted from really loud to really quiet. If you’re looking for a speaker you’re going to want to add this one to your wish list. It’s awesome!

Better yet, leave a comment letting me know your favorite Christmas song. Sol Republic was so kind to offer to giveaway a PUNK Wireless Speaker to a Her Heartland Soul Reader! I’ll pick a winner by next Friday.

3. Swiftwick athletic socks are my jam. They’re basically the only socks I work out in at this point. I love all the pretty colors their Aspire line comes in. They’re perfect to match to every outfit!

4.The Ugly Sweater 5k Run is coming back to Omaha on December 14th! Here’s a flashback to Josh and I at the race last year. I loved our penguin sweaters. We had so much fun! The course was great, the crowd was fantastic, and there was free cider beer at the end of the race! It was glorious. This year Josh and I are racing it again (we were planning on buying tickets, but were offered free ones first), and we have tickets to give away to you!

Simply leave a comment telling me what ugly sweater you want to run in. I’ve got four tickets to give away so I’ll be picking two winners by next Friday.

5. Josh and I are going to see A Christmas Story at The Rose Theater this weekend! They were so sweet to offer us tickets. I loved this movie growing up and can’t wait to see the musical come to life. I remember so many funny moments and have a feeling I’ll get a lot more of the jokes this time around… 😉

We saw one of those leg lamps at Home Depot when we went to go buy lights. Lol I can’t believe they actually make those.
