Easter Weekend Snapshots

April 1, 2013 18 Comments

Hey guys! I hope you all had a Happy Easter! Sorry I didn’t get a post up at the end of last week. Time has been getting away from me lately with school and work and wedding stuff. I’ll have a recap of the sightseeing we did in NYC posted tomorrow. Today I have a recap of my Easter weekend. Josh’s parents came down from Connecticut and we had the most wonderful time. I love how much fun we all have hanging out. I wish the weekend was longer so we could spend more time together, but I’m so excited to see them in a few weeks. I took a bunch of pictures so I figured I would let the photos do most of the talking in this post.

My Easter date.

The most incredible brunch buffet at The Penn Stater.

Full plates.

Family. 🙂

A surprise Easter basket from Josh’s parents. They got Josh white chocolate and me dark chocolate. It was so sweet of them. 🙂

We spent a day out in the countryside about 30 minutes outside of State College. It was so breathtakingly beautiful. There was no cell phone service though. It blew my mind.

Checking out a winery.

And a legitimate country store.

I’ve never seen so many Amish people. And so many spices!

Lunch at a delicious dinner in Reedsville.

Antique shopping.

My future in-laws. 🙂

Dinner in Boalsburg.

Pumpkin pasta with bleu cheese crumbles.

Josh getting fitted for his wedding tux! 😀

An incredible walnut veggie burger from Ottos.

Spicy ice cream made with hot wing sauce. It was not mine or Debbie’s thing (at all!) but the guys loved it.

We ended the incredible weekend with a wine and cheese dinner from Wegmans. It was the most delicious meal surrounded by wonderful company.

Question of the Day: How did you spend your Easter? Did you do anything special to celebrate?

I’m not quite sure I could handle the spicy and hot ice cream… it does sound quite intriguing though!! Glad you had such a fabulous time with Joshua & your future in-laws <3

It did not taste good to me, it had a funny texture. Josh and his dad absolutely loved it though!

I love Otto’s veggie burger and have always wanted to try the Penn Stater! Check out Happy Valley Winery sometime- the owner is really nice. Looks like you had a nice weekend. 🙂

Great pictures! Looks like you had a fabulous weekend! We had a very low-key Easter, I don’t think I even put shoes on yesterday. 🙂
