Happy December everyone!! I can’t believe November is already over, it feels like I was just writing my Notes for November list, and now its time to recap it. At the beginning of last month I made a list of goals I wanted to strive to achieve by the end of November. It was really exciting to look back over the list today and see which ones I had accomplished.
My notes for November were as follows. Whether I accomplished them or not is indicated by a + (yay) or – (fail).
1. Bake with pumpkin as much as possible. + I baked a ton of pumpkin and will probably continue to bake with pumpkin well into December.
2. Read three books on my Nook (and less People magazine). – I’m hoping Christmas break and time off from homework and school projects will allow me to get back to reading.
3. Paint my nails (and stop biting them). + Just did this last night! haha I’m still working on the biting thing though.
4. Take my puppies on fall walks. + Walks with my puppies in the crisp fall air was wonderful.
5. Be smart with my money. + I’ve been really good about saving money and not buying things I don’t need. I’m really proud of myself.
6. Add pilates back into my life. – Unfortunately this didn’t happen. I need to get back on a good workout routine!
7. Go ice skating. – I didn’t realize when I made this goal that Josh and I only had two weekends in November together before he left for Connecticut to be with his family over the holidays. We’ll have more time to do this in January.
8. Do a Random Act of Kindness. + I love when unexpected politeness makes people smile!
9. Keep my grades up. + 99% sure I’ll have a 4.0 this semester, barring some unforeseen finals catastrophe.
10. Give Josh a million kisses. + I think I far surpassed a million. π
For my first time doing a monthly goal list I’m pretty happy with 7/10. It leaves me some room for improvement!
And now, for my Do-It-Up December list, I’ve set the ten following goals:
1. Decorate a Christmas tree! I look forward to decorating a tree every year! Growing up my Dad always bought artificial trees but Diane is a big fan of real trees. Now having had a real tree for the past three years, I don’t think I can ever go back. The look, the smell, the energy they bring to a room is amazing and something that can’t be imitated.
2. Bake Christmas cookies. I love holiday baking! There’s so many good recipes and they are all so delicious. My favorite recipe that I make every year is Hershey Kiss Cookies.Β I’m already craving them!
3. Get my butt kicked. (In a good way.) With all the holiday baking and eating that is going to go down I need to make sure I am getting my workout on and breaking a sweat a lot this month. With how busy I’ve been this semester I’ve been good at focusing on healthy eating but not so good about maintaining my workouts. Fitness is a huge component of a healthy lifestyle and I need to really work on making it a priority again.
4. Read 3 books on my Nook. I need to get back to reading! I used to be such a bookworm but now if it isn’t assigned for a class I likely haven’t read it. I’m making time for reading this month.

5. Buy some Lululemon. I am seriously lusting over Lululemon. I have a few things from them but I want so much more! I’m on the lookout for some deals on their clothing. I haven’t blogged a lot about this but I am a HUGE bargain finder. Its like a sport to me. I’ve gotten a DSLR Canon Rebel camera, Marc Jacobs, Louis Vuitton, Tory Burch, Tiffanys, etc., for all well well well below retail. There are very few things I will spend retail for, since most of them I can find so much cheaper. Here’s hoping December brings me some good Lululemon deals!

6. Create some new food recipes. One of the things I love most about being a vegetarian is how creative it has made me in the kitchen. I am an eater of habit, I could eat the same thing day after day and never get tired of it. Taking meats and poultry out of the equation has forced me to have to reevaluate what I eat and try food combinations I never would have tried before, eat foods I never used to touch. I hope with time it leads to more and more food creativity, and more adventures in the kitchen!
7. Travel. This one is less of a goal and more of something I’m really excited for. I love to travel and will be doing so after Christmas. I’ll be spending the last few days of December and first two weeks of January with Josh and his parents in Connecticut. I’m so excited!
8. Make this blog bigger and better than ever. I love this blog. I love you guys. I feel so lucky to have this little space on the internet where I can write about my life and connect with other bloggers and readers. Its been less than three months but I already feel like I’ve been doing this for so long. I want to make Girl Gone Veggie the best possible blog it can be, make it the best possible experience it can be for you guys. I’ve got some fun stuff planned this month! π
9. Take time to really relax and enjoy the holidays. With all there is to do, with all there is I’m looking forward to, most of all I can’t wait to get to be with my loved ones and enjoy each others company. The holidays fly by way too fast and I just want to soak up every minute of them that I possibly can.
10. Kiss Josh under the mistletoe. π The goal I’m most excited for! Despite being together last holiday season Josh and I never found a mistletoe to kiss under. I need toΒ make sure we can rectify that this year!
What are your goals for December? I would love to hear them!

I love your December goal list! Especially #10! Such a sweet one! Make sure to check out Lulu stores, as they usually have clothes discounted (look for the purple sticker!) and the website has a page called “We Made Too Much” which is also great for discounted stuff!

Goals for December:
Take more pictures. I’m a photographer, but I so often forget to take photos of my own life!
Bake two new kinds of Christmas cookies. My mom and I bake a ton already, but we usually do all the same ones. I want to try something new!
Post some of my latest recipes on my blog. I’ve baked sooo many things! I just haven’t had the time…or energy…to post them!

I love your goals! I hope you accomplish all of them in December! And that is awesome you are a photographer, I’ve been wanting to take a photography class. I have great cameras, but not the skill to be able to fully utilize them! ;p

Those are great goals Erin….I still do those kind of things…I always think that it’s great to have dreams. I always am planning on how to make the B & B nicer and better for my guests. I love to go to other places to get ideas on ways I can add more personal touches to our place. I am always looking for ways to improve. Keep making goals, it’s a very rewarding thing when you accomplish any of them. Hope you and Josh have a very Merry Christmas!
Erin says
Aw thank you Lisa! Merry Christmas to you, Jimmy, and Jordan as well! I meant to tell you, I love the idea you had for your New Years party but unfortunately Josh and I will be in CT for New Years. Hopefully we can all get together soon though!
Lisa says
My own personal goal, is to try and find a day for Jimmy and Jordan and I to go to Wheeling, W VA to the Oglebay Resort and go to the Oglebay Festival of Lights. We are in the middle of a Living Social ad, and it just has exploded our business, and my goal is to stay calm.
Erin says
I am SO happy the Living Social ad did so well for you guys! You deserve it! I hope you guys get to go to Oglebay soon! I love lights festivals!
