Cruising into Spring

March 19, 2017 6 Comments

With the weather getting nice again (Omaha has had some serious ups and downs this winter!) I’ve been itching to spend time outside. Growing up I spent a lot of summers at the seashore where cruiser bikes were considered a major form of transportation. While I’m a long way from the shore now, I thought it would be fun to start bike riding again. So I bought a cruiser!

I am obsessed with the color and love that is has a bell. It’s also under $200! Now I just need a basket and it will be perfect.

Josh and I went on a bike riding date over the Bob Kerrey Pedestrian Bridge and along the Council Bluff bike trails. While Josh’s mountain bike handles hills a lot better than my seven-speeder, mine is cuter. 😉

It was such a fun way to get outside, spend time together, and be active. We’re thinking about buying a bike hitch for our car so we can go bike around some of Omaha’s lakes and parks. I see lots of spring bike rides in our future!

Questions of the Day: Are you a fan of bike riding? How do you enjoy spending time outdoors when the weather is nice? Are you more a cruiser gal or a mountain biker?

What a lovely bike! Its colour is my favourite and it looks so cute and vintage, I love it. I’m from central Europe and the weather here is getting warmer as well, so maybe I’ll go on some nice bicycle trip as well. 🙂 Have a nice day! 🙂 oo

LOVE your bike! It’s a gorgeous color, too! I’ve always been a road-bike gal (you know, helmet, bike shorts/shirt, long miles, etc.,), but when we moved to a town with a lovely historical district, we purchased cruisers, to tool around town. It was so fun! Enjoy making many lovely memories on your new bike!

That bike is adorable!!! That’s my favorite color, and I swear I ride better when a bike is cuter. I have a road bike for triathlons, a mountain bike for trails, and a fat tire bike for winter riding, but now I want this cruiser too! JK, but seriously biking is the best and you’re going to have so much fun riding all over the place.

This makes me so excited to get our bikes out soon! We still have some snow on the grass and this week it’s supposed to rain all week. Maybe next!
