When I first told people I was moving to Omaha I got a lot of questions like, “But what will you do there?” Or, “But won’t you be so bored?” I laugh at this now because Josh and I have never been so busy, and have never had so many things on our social calendar as we have since moving to Omaha. Our first four months as Midwesterners have been filled with fun events and local happenings. And there’s even more events on the horizon. There’s one in particular I want to share with you today. I hope you’ll be able to come!
I love living in downtown Omaha. There are so many awesome stores, restaurants, and neighborhoods all within walking distance. One of these neighborhoods is Midtown Crossing. They are home to some of our favorite local spots, and have a beautiful little park where concerts and movie nights happen frequently. One of the shops that they’re known for is Garbo’s Salon and Spa. Garbo’s is an Omaha favorite with many locations around the city. They’re constantly listed on Best of Omaha lists and I personally have a lot of friends that rave about them.
Their Midtown Crossing location partnered up with Elle Magazine for a fun, totally free event to highlight their WELLA hair care product offerings. And you’re invited! There will be a DJ playing music, food, drinks, complimentary hair consultations, and serious discounts on their services. It’s all happening this Thursday at 7pm. This event sounds like it is going to be so much fun. I am so bummed I will not be able to attend. 🙁 I’m going to be on a business trip in Nashville next week and won’t be getting home until the following day. I’m so excited for the trip, to get to be back on the East Coast for a little bit, and to get to spend time in such a beautiful state, but I would love if you attend this salon event to send me pictures so I can see how it went. When I was invited to attend and I realized I wouldn’t be able to make it I asked if I could spread the word so others could go. It sounds like it’s going to be a night of pure pampering and comfort.

This looks pretty awesome! I’ve never actually been to Garbo’s only because I’ve heard it’s a little pricey but this looks like something worth checking out! Lord knows I need some help in the hair department these days, especially with winter coming. Too bad you’ll be out of town 🙁 but I’m sure you’ll enjoy being in Nashville!
