I LOVE winter break! I get to sleep in, lounge around, and don’t have to worry about projects or tests. It is wonderful! This weekend will be a little bit of a snap back to reality with holiday retail hours kicking in but for now I am living it up and loving it.
Breakfast this morning was a very late brunch consisting of a delicious breakfast burrito. After that I lounged around the house with my puppies and hung out in my pjs until I decided to make myself presentable and do something with my day.
I had some shopping errands I wanted to run so I snacked on some Greek yogurt flavored with honey and bananas before I headed out the door. That stuff fills me up for hours and tastes so good!
I’m doing some Holiday baking tomorrow so I ran to Wegmans to pick up some necessary baking supplies. On the way back to my car I noticed a reindeer car! I’ve heard about these but have never seen them in person and thought it was so cute!
I also ran to TJMaxx to pick up some tupperware to mail out tomorrow’s baked goods in and left with these C & C California workout leggings. I would live in leggings if society wouldn’t judge me and love a more tight fitting pant when I workout. I also love C&C. Their clothes are so comfy and so cute!
The deal was also way too good to pass up. They’re still selling on their website for $98, and I got them for $15! Score! I love a good deal! 😀
Inspired by my latest athletic apparel purchase I headed home and prepared to tackle a Bob Harper Inside Out Method workout. I love Bob Harper and find The Biggest Loser so motivational. What I did not realize about these DVD’s are that they’re INTENSE. Bob actually teaches you his own personal workouts and they are hard. After about five minutes of his HIT workout I had to stop myself. I was making so many modifications to his workout I felt liked my quality of workout sucked. These seem like awesome workouts but they’re definitely meant for those more experienced and trained than I am. I like the goal of working up to these!
After giving up on Bob for the moment I switched over to a 10 Minute Solution Pilates DVD. If you’ve never heard of the 10 Minute Solution series I highly recommend you check them out! Each one contains five ten minute workouts that can be done in segments if you’re short on time or combined to make one awesome 50 minute workout. These get my heart rate up and get me sweating without being so hard I feel like I’m failing at the workout. Unless I’m really pressed for time I always do the full workouts and its a serious workout that I’m still feeling the next day!
Bailey prefers to sleep on yoga mats. Its her version of the downward dog. ;p
After finishing up pilates I was hungry. I decided to make a pasta tofu medley featuring carrots, broccoli, tomatoes, onions, and garlic for dinner. It was so simple to make and absolutely delicious! While the tofu was pressing and the noodles were cooking I sauteed onions, carrots, and broccoli on the stove until they softened. Once they were tender I cut the tofu into tiny cubes and added it to the veggies, along with 1/4 a cup of vodka sauce. I cooked until the tofu had soaked up a lot of the vodka sauce’s flavors and then added in the noodles and handfuls of mozzarella cheese. I cooked until everything was melted together and then served.
It was absolutely incredible!
And now I’m off to go catch up on last week’s Bones episode and maybe a Big Bang Theory episode or two! ;p

That tofu pasta looks delicious!
How funny is it that I was stretching all day at work thinking about how badly my body needs me to do some yoga? I miss yoga so so much. I’m definitely going to start up again.

I love how great it feels to be stretched out and relaxed after pilates or yoga. They must have awesome yoga on the beach classes in Hawaii! And thanks, the pasta was so good! Its the vodka sauce that makes it incredible, I’m in love with it!
