Life has a funny way of throwing you for a loop when you think you have it all figured out. This past summer I transitioned to blogging full-time. It was an exciting, terrifying, and absolutely amazing transition. I love getting to work for myself, follow my dreams, and pursue my passions.
Just as I felt I got the working from home thing figured out I was approached with an unexpected opportunity. It’s an opportunity to work for a company I greatly admire, doing work that will challenge me, in a temporary capacity. It could not be a more perfect situation. And so, for the next half-dozen months, I’ll be re-entering the corporate world.
Working from home I’m usually in sweats and a bathrobe. Obviously this won’t cut it in an office environment, so I’ve had to stock up on some new workwear. Ann Taylor is currently running a promotion where sale items are an additional 50% off. And when you spend $175 or more you get free shipping. It’s a great deal. Here’s what I bought:
All of this was less than $300. I love what I bought and am looking forward to feeling put together for my new job. This is a detour from my work at home plan but one I believe will be well worth it in the end. Here’s to unexpected changes and good deals on cute clothes!

Congratulations on the new opportunity! I’m in a similar situation and got approached about a new job (same company, but different group). I’ve been in the same group for 3 years, since I graduated college, so this would be a huge transition for me! We’ll see how the interviews go but change is good and exciting..particularly when you get new clothes 🙂 Best of luck to you!
