Before I started working at my current job I knew next to nothing about sports. To be honest, I still don’t know much about sports, but I now hear about them all the time. My coworkers are big sports fans which leads to a competitive office environment come tournament time.
March Madness is one of the biggest sports competitions for my team. While my coworkers are all pouring over statistics and studying team historical records, I’m over here choosing my favorites based on team mascots, school locations, and how cute the team members are. 😉 It has done pretty well for me in the past but this year I thought I’d take it up a notch.
If you’re looking to gain an edge for this year’s March Madness bracket you have got to check out Allstate’s Bracket Predictor. Because let’s be real, when people’s brackets start going to hell it turns into total mayhem.
Allstate is providing fans and bracket novice’s like me with expertise in the form of a predictive statistical analysis tool to help with the bracket-building process. Using the Bracket Predictor you can select any two teams in the tournament and analyze the probability of a victory in a head-to-head matchup. I’m putting it to the test and using it to help me build my bracket this year. I’ll make sure to let you guys know how I do in the pool!
While arguably the best part of winning a pool is the bragging rights (especially when you beat sports aficionados!) it never hurts to win some extra dough. I’m hoping to keep my winning streak going so I can treat myself to some of these goodies:
I don’t need any of them, but they sure are pretty, and cost roughly what I could win if I do well with my picks. I’m crossing my fingers and hoping the Allstate Bracket Predictor does well for me!

LOVE those espardrille sandals! I did my bracket randomly ~ like picking names from a hat ~ there are so many upsets; plus, I’ve always wanted to see what way works better. Doing it my random way, I picked Baylor to win or I happened to pick that name out of a hat. It still would be fun to win some money! Who did you pick?
