27 years ago today this guy was born. I could not be more grateful to have him in my life. He is so smart and so caring and so funny. He goes out of his way to make me feel special and bring a smile to my face each and every day. I am so excited to celebrate his birthday with him this weekend!
The Mookies are baked as a surprise to his parents. (I used the rest of the cream cheese frosting from the cake for the mookies.)
And his presents are all wrapped and ready to go. For his presents I thought I’d go with the theme of memories.
The card is a memory of us being Mickey and Minnie Mouse for Halloween.
The I <3 Slovakia bear is a memory of a funny dream he had months ago. Remembering it still makes me laugh.
And my favorite part of the memory present is the memory of when we went to Arts Fest. Every summer State College puts on a downtown arts exhibit where vendors from all over come to show off their work and sell their creations. Josh and I had so much fun looking at all the paintings and sculptures and nick nacks. We talked about our favorite paintings and how we’d decorate a house with them. We both loved the splatter effect of this one, and I thought with the changing colors and falling leaves it was the perfect piece for a Fall birthday. Hopefully he likes it! 🙂
And now I have to run! His parents drove down from Connecticut and we’re all going out to dinner tonight. I don’t want to be late.
Happy 27th Birthday Josh! Here’s to a year as perfect as the last, with many, many more memories!
