Growing up I hated cats. I thought they were mean and unloving and completely selfish.
Fast forward a few years and I am a cat mom to the sweetest, most loving, most gentle little soul named Punkin. He has my heart and I love him as much as I do anyone in my family.
Punkin is only four years old, so when we noticed he was starting to eat on just one side of his mouth, we immediately got nervous and called the vet. After his examination the vet the determined he was perfectly healthy, but had four bad teeth that needed to go. Hearing this was a bit of a shock. Had we done something wrong? Was he going to be okay?
Thankfully we learned that cats can lead totally healthy and happy lives with missing teeth and that we weren’t bad cat parents who had neglected our cat. That said, the vet strongly encouraged we start looking out for cat treats that promote dental health and help control plaque and tartar.
Being told by our vet to go buy treats for our little bear? Done and done. It helped this cat mama feel better about putting her little fluffy one under the knife.
Thankfully he recovered just fine and is now back to his happy, silly self. He has been the recipient of a lot of treats (as evidenced by that poofy belly), as we try to find the best treats for his taste buds and his teeth. We tried some that were so hard he wasn’t able to chew them and would drop them out of his mouth and whine at them. It was absolutely depressing.
When we heard about Meow Mix Brushing Bites, we were immediately interested in trying them out for Punkin. They’re from a brand we trust, are made with real meat, and are fortified with Vitamin D and Calcium to help support strong teeth and bones. We picked up a pack of the Chicken treats at Walmart for our little guy to try.
As you can see, he’s a pretty big fan! They were soft enough for him to easily chew, while also crunchy enough to get to work removing any plaque and tartar build-up from his mouth. It makes my heart happy to know there’s something we can give our little guy that brings him joy and is good for his teeth. I never want him to have to undergo dental work again.
Meow Mix Brushing Bites can be found at your local Walmart and will also be available on WALMART.COM soon. For now, you can find out more about Meow Mix Brushing Bites HERE.

First of all I love how fluffy your cat is; it’s awesome how God made cats with fluffy hair, straight hair, fine hair, rough hair; and your cat looks like it should be a show cat or something. 🙂 And I love giving treats to our kitty or our dogs. 🙂
