Lately I’ve been looking for snacks that are low calorie, high protein, and low sugar. Browsing the grocery store I love to discover new products and find new things to try. When Josh and I recently went shopping at Walmart we picked up Yoplait’s Greek 100 Calorie yogurt cups. I wasn’t in the market for a new Greek yogurt but was intrigued by the fact it’s less calories then I’m used to, just as much protein, and less sugar.
I also loved the flavor selection. Tropical fruit? Banana caramel? Yes and yes.
The flavors were yummy. Tropical fruit tasted like a vacation in a cup! A fun way I like to enhance my snack and one-up my yogurt is by adding a handful of fresh fruit into the mix. It helps add a little texture and give my snack an antioxidant boost. Tropical fruit tastes great with a little extra fresh pineapple and mango thrown in!
I’m always looking for a snack I can bring with me to work to fight off mid-afternoon hunger cravings. The floor I work on has junk food everywhere. Just yesterday someone had shipped in Magnolia’s cupcakes from New York. What?! How are you supposed to make good choices when you have cupcakes being flown in? It’s nice to have a go-to snack stashed in the fridge that I can turn to in times of temptation.
One-upped or just the way it is, this yogurt is delicious and I give it two thumbs way up.
