Doesn’t this picture just melt your heart? I love my puppies so much. Bailey always looks like she
has a smile on her face and Andy is finally starting to look less emaciated as his hair is growing back after his terrible hair cut. Starting my day seeing these two adorable faces helps start my day right.
After my international business class I met up with my dad for another mid-day father-daughter date. Since he is such an awesome dad and was so sweet to treat me to pizza the other day I wanted to treat him to Starbucks.
My dad always thought Starbucks was overpriced and not worth the money. He always made fun of my love of their drinks and tried to convince me to get coffee at Dunkin Donuts or somewhere cheaper. Then one day, about five years ago, I treated him to his first Starbucks drink. And now he loves them just as much as I do. 😀 The proof is in the drink.
I got a grande white chocolate mocha with skim milk and no whip while my dad opted for a grande vanilla bean frap with whipped cream. Diane and I always complain that the guys in our lives are in such good shape even while eating the whipped cream and things we always omit from our orders. Those damn male metabolisms. ;p
My dad and I ended up hanging out at Starbucks for a while. I was actually so short on time between classes I had to run to Wegmans real quick to pick up a tomato basil with orzo soup that I then gulped down in class while my professor was taking attendance. We then proceeded to have the best class of the semester that was so much fun. Our teams were divided into judges, negotiators, and team members. Known in the class as Miss Outspoken (probably because I’m the only girl) I was assigned the role of judge. It was so interesting studying how people work together and make decisions as groups based on the circumstances and situations they are in.
After class I headed home for a quick veggie burger dinner. I topped the burger with tomato, cheese, onions, and hummus and had a side of snap peas. It was really good and kept me full while I was at work for a few hours.
I was feeling snackish when I got home for the night. I turned on American Idol and reached for my snack of choice lately, unsalted pretzels and cocoa almond spread. I’m almost glad I don’t have a Trader Joes by me. This cocoa almond spread is like crack. Its even better than Nutella!
And now I’m hanging out watching American Idol and am finding myself blown away by the talent. Between this show and The Voice, America has got some serious talent!
Question of the Day: What singing show do you watch? Between American Idol, The Voice, The X Factor, and America’s Got Talent there’s a lot to choose from!
