I had my last midterm today! Woo! It felt so good to hand in that test and know I wont have to take another one for weeks. While taking the test I started realizing that while I may be feeling great about being done with tests, physically I wasn’t feeling so great. I’m not a doctor but when you have to get up in the middle of an exam to go on a tissue hunting mission, its a good sign that some meds and rest are in your future. Slight allergies the past few weeks have turned into all-consuming congestion and tiredness these past few days. After class I headed to the school nurse to get checked out and found out I have an ear infection. My first one this season! I get ear infections in the winter as often as my puppies beg for treats (read: all the time!). Its gotten to the point where I don’t even feel it, I just feel the side effects of my ears not draining properly and the congestion trickling to my throat and nose. (Tmi?) So now I’m on antibiotics and a decongestant that should hopefully have me feeling 100% for this weekends trip to New Haven!
To make sure my body had lots of time to rest and relax I decided to take the rest of the day off from classes. I headed home, changed into PJs, and decided to make myself a smoothie with my daily dose of Vitamin C.
Oh yeah. I cannot get enough of these Jamba Juice smoothies!
Jamba Juice was so sweet when they sent me my review package to include my favorite Jamba Juice flavor ever! If there was ever a day for Mango-a-go-go today was it.
Check out all that fruit and yogurt goodness it comes with. (Bailey gave it two paws up.)
Yum.
I drank the whole smoothie package by myself. I’m choosing to spin that as I now have 200% of my daily recommended dose of Vitamin C! 😀
After I finished my smoothie I rounded out lunch with a few pieces of Coco Pop dipped in hummus and pesto. It was delicious.
Eating had used up all my remaining energy and I was feeling super tired by that point. I curled up in my comfy chair and snuggled with Andy. He knows when I’m not feeling my best and gives me extra puppy cuddles.

I also caught up with these ladies. I am loving this new season, but Brandi Glanville gets under my skin so badly. Kyle, Adrienne, and Lisa are my favorite.
After that I crashed for the rest of the afternoon and most of the evening. There is nothing like napping when you’re not feeling your best.
I woke up around 8 and after talking to Josh on the phone for a while I decided it was time to eat some dinner.
Diane made beets for dinner and was so sweet to save me some! I always thought beets were disgusting until I tried them and then realized I LOVE them! I warmed them up and added a little salt and they were perfect.
I also decided it was time to break in that new almond butter I got a few days ago.
I normally make almond butter sandwiches on wheat bread but we were out so I decided to use a whole wheat english muffin. I don’t eat them a lot so I wasn’t sure what to expect. Boy was I surprised when I bit into what tasted like a toasted piece of almond butter and banana cake! It was so moist and chewy and the best way I have ever eaten this sandwich! It will definitely not be my last time.
And now I’m doing some laundry and packing for my trip this Friday. Because I will be traveling all day Friday tomorrow’s post will be my last one of the week before my update on Monday with a recap of my weekend. I have work and am driving to Josh’s tomorrow night so tomorrow’s post will be up earlier in the day than my usual ones. You’ll definitely want to check it out, it features an AWESOME granola giveaway!
