This Sunday Josh and I hosted a little get together at our house.
We were so excited to have friends over! This is only the second time we’ve hosted an event at our apartment. We need to do it more often.
Joanna, Jeff, and cutie patootie Eleanor came over.
And soon to be Mr. and Mrs. Molly and Brian.
We hung out and drank some wine and started the meal off with a spinach salad with feta, pecans, cranberries, and apples.
We also had maple chipotle glazed sweet potatoes. They were super spicy but really tasty.
For our main entree Josh made an artichoke and fusilli pasta bake. Our guests were very kind to not mind us running around cooking while they were there. We were so happy with how the food turned out, so hopefully no one minded waiting a little bit. I seem to run late not only to other people’s events but to my own as well. ;p
We asked everyone if they would bring a dessert. Molly brought white cranberry bliss fudge and peppermint fudge. They are soo good! We have lots of leftovers that I can’t wait to enjoy this week.
And Joanna brought s’mores cupcakes. Omg these are amazing. They have a graham cracker bottom and are so delicious. I normally am not a chocolate cupcakes fan but I can’t stop eating these!
We had such a fun night with great company. We feel so lucky to have the friends that we do. They’ve truly made Omaha feel like home for us.
Question of the Day: Are you hosting a Christmas get together this year?
